This is a very small place, but is filled with a lot of history and very nice vehicles. It lets you see into BMW’s history.

Really a great day with family. Interesting for all ages over 12. Highly recommend. I have never liked the BMW however I have a new appreciation for the car and company. I can’t wait to tour the 2 other German factories VW and Mercedez.

The consensus is that this is a small BMW museum, and it truly is. Its fun though. The size of a giant car showroom(but much taller) Getting to see a Dixi, several Isettas(Isetti??) is a treat, as are the 6 – 7 motors. There’s a motor section of the legendary Brabbam F!, which is just fascinating,(the 1.5 liter turbo is so tiny and made such enormous horsepower 1300!) If you’re passing through, its worth a 30– minute stop, for sure if you’re into BMW’s. Nice swag shop and a minimalistic café. The real treat would be to do the factory tour(book ahead). Or, of course M School at the nearby Performance Center.

The Zentrum was a very interesting, if smaller, tribute to all things BMW. My husband and I enjoyed it a lot, including the video, which was a virtual tour of the factory. It had everything from WWII airplane engines to the latest F1 offering. Plus, it’s free, so who could ask for anything more? The actual factory tour was not available, but they said it would be starting again in June.

A smaller museum, but you can’t beat the price. The cars they have, while not a ton, are very interesting and amazing looking. We couldn’t take the tour as the factory was being re-tooled, but will definitely come back. The factory is immense and they build all the X-series cars here, except the X1. The gift shop is also pretty good and has a nice selection. Probably not worth a standalone visit without the tour, but a great stop when picking up a new car on performance delivery.
