Delicious. Best sushi in town. Definitely a hidden gem. I ordered takeout and Kim was wonderful and polite. She helped get my order in quick. Definitely will be back

Why have I not tried this place before??? Thai curry was wonderful. Dining partner’s sushi lunch platter was excellent. No, he wouldn’t share with me, but I shared with him. ;-}. He agreed the Thai curry was top notch. Nice décor, perfect service, reasonably priced & close to home. Can’t wait to go back for dinner!

This sushi is wonderful! I love the «sexy girl roll» and the «sweetheart roll» but they are all fantastic! What a gem right here on the Eastside… next to Publix.

Best sushi in Greenville… PERIOD! Jenny and the staff are wonderful, beautiful, and nice. They go out of their way to make you feel like family. We love it; so much so, we go at least once a week!

The food here is decent. We had the spider, christmas, volcano rolls. Christmas was really good but the spider was not great. The volcano was average. Service was ok, not great but not bad. All in all it was average. There are many other sushi spots we like better that we will stick to.

Just landed in Spartanburg after a long travel day and I was excited to find the café within a 10min drive of the airport — the place has a great feel to it and the sushi we ordered was pretty good! I’m from Alaska so my standard is really high — I would eat here again!!! Yum

The art of customer service has been lost until tonight, when coming into this restaurant 23 mins before closing. yea I know (but we were hungry) and my little one wanted sushi and now I can I refuse a young heart to such a delicacy such as sushi! So they were very gracious! The sushi/​sashimi dinner for one was displayed gorgeous! The martini glass serving the tuna on top of mint leaves was decorated with a light show under it making the fish illuminate! It not only illuminated my visual satisfaction as well as my taste buds were uniquely satisfied by the freshness of variety an array of fish by the chef. It was romantic and they dimmed the lights but it’s also very family friendly! The waitress gave my son a hug as we left (I think it’s cause he said «your cute and was well mannered!) lol overall I recommend this little place that is so often missed cause it’s in the plaza of publix on the parkway in Greer off Pelham rd and old buncombe rd!

Visiting my parents from Atlanta and had the pleasure of coming here for lunch. We had the sashimi platter that was one of the freshest that I have had, even compared to Atlanta restaurants. We also got three rolls that were all spectacular. The presentation of every dish was thought out and playful. This is definitely the best sushi I have had in Greenville and this place will not stay a secret for long.

My experience with this place was bitter sweet. I ordered the shrimp and rice. The shrimp appeared to be almost uncooked and it made me feel bad for the chef. Then I told my server, the Asian girl who was my waitress appeared to almost roll her eyes, hopefully she can find her brain back there. I ordered the sushi and it appeared almost alive the second time. I then left on my way out the Asian girl who I quoted before gave me a nasty stare on the way out. I will be reporting her to the border patrol. May god help this establishment.

Good sushi in a strip mall next to a Publix? Yes! Tried on a rainy afternoon with one one other family in the restaurant. Service was very friendly. Miso Soup was just okay not the best. Sushi is amazing. Very fresh and tasty. There’s amazing knife work from the sushi chef if you look at the close up picture below. Only complaint was that would like to see more variety in the rolls for the special. Will definitely be back to try more.

The sushi I had here erased any memories of sushigasms past, or at least reduced them to faint whispers. I felt unfaithful to my local sushi establishment in Columbia, of whose quality I could boast on an international scale. I’m looking for excuses to drive to Greer just so I can spend over $ 100 at this place. Any excuse. It’s a destination sushi experience.
On the flip side: a screaming 4-​year old was running around flailing chop sticks: I wished her entire table of 16 met with a horrible death for allowing such appalling behavior in public. Their salmon sashimi was *smoked*, which doesn’t qualify it as sashimi in my book.
It was still tasty and the sushi was so good that it nearly made up for the cramped, noisy seating. The service was friendly and accommodating to our needs. You can’t blame the restaurant for the local clientele, so caveat emptor. I’d still roe all the way back in a heart-​beat.

Wow, the art they got going on with the sushi is just amazing! And everything I’ve tried taste fresh, compatible, and just generally put together well. I especially love the rolls with mango. Also, the fried rice is really good and different because they put crab meat in it! I have just been really impressed with this place and the fact that I’m never disappointed will keep me coming back, so keep it up!

Love the sushi and all of the entrees here! Exceptional food! My kids like the beef pad thai and I love every sushi roll I’ve ordered. Hope this restaurant sticks around.

Fathers Day @ Tokyo Café…
Small little restaurant besides Publix at the Parkway.
Ambience — Cute little place. Food presentation was excellent.
Food — Food ordered was flavourful. Tried the Red Curry chicken and Chicken Fried rice. Good quantity and enjoyed the taste. Also tried a salmon roll — I am not much of a sushi fan, so wasnt very happy with that dish.
Service — Service with a smile. Our orders were taken care of well.
Cost — An appetizer and two entrees costed $ 29. Good value for money.
Will i go back? Yes, but not on a regular basis.

Love this place! We went here for the first time with my family and it was incredible! I know a lot about sushi and have even been to a class about it. This sushi was amazing!
First we got the fried calamari which was nice and crispy. Then we got the ichiban salad which was soooo delicious. Finally, we got a number of great rolls. My favorite were Fan’s Yellowtail Roll and the Dragon roll. The plates had cool artwork made by food and sauces. This sushi was obviously made by a pro.
So if you want delicious sushi and good Japanese/​Thai food, you should really try this place out.

This place looks great, staff is friendly and the food is really good! Enjoy a glass of wine, get the coconut chicken soup and the Christmas roll! You won’t be disappointed. Oh yeah and very well priced. I got, soup, salad, wine, and special roll for under $ 30!

I am not the most knowledgeable on traditional Japanese or Thai food, but I do know what is delicious and this place was a pleasant surprise!
The wait staff was very kind. We had delicious appetizers, and the main entrée was presented very beautifully with real flowers.
After the horrendous monstrosity that was Asian Bistro, it is so wonderful to have something actually good take its place. I will likely be back often!
