Though I liked the room, I have one very major issue which I brought up with the desk clerk in the early a.m. My receipt was tucked into the outside of my door, where anyone walking by could have looked at my name and address. Now the person looking at it could well be innocent, but they could also be identity thefts and now they have everything they need to impersonate me. BADBADBAD practice and the clerk did not seem to care about it.

Driving from Chicago to New Orleans last month, we decided to make a reservation at this Comfort Inn & Suites based on the Unilocal reviews. We reserved a non smoking room with two double beds for us and out two kids. When we arrived, very tired and ready to sleep at 11:00 pm we were given a room that wreaked of cigarette smoke! the smell was so bad it was even in the hallway. It was unbearable. The guy at the front desk was so surprised the cleaning person hadn’t told him someone was smoking in a non-smoking room. How could they possibly have not known this? I’m sure he was just hoping we’d take it. Then he offers to give us a «suite» instead. after waking up his boss for permission to do so. Turns out the suite has a king size bed and a hot tub, for a family of 4 how could he not know that?! Back to the front desk we go. By now it’s 11:40. They don’t have any other rooms available. I wanted to be sure we got our money back, so waited for a receipt. The guy had no idea how to do a refund. It took him another 20 minutes to figure out how to process that, Now it’s now midnight and we have to go find another hotel. Not fun. At least the Holiday Inn we ended up at was much nicer and less money! Note to Comfort Inn… try training your employees.

We’re in Grenada for a full two weeks and traveling with three(yes-three) pit bull puppies. Finding a pet friendly hotel is not always easy and cost-effective and will then sometimes lack on the amenities. Additionally being away from home and a large city(in my case) can also be pretty trying. We’ve felt very much at home here and the staff as been thoughtful and friendly. The suite we stayed in was very well priced, clean, and comfortable. Everyone loves puppies, but everyone was very friendly and spent alot of time petting and playing with them. The complimentary continental breakfast was very good and had a great selection and all of the good restaurants are within a short drive. If I ever visit Grenada again, this will definitely be the place I stay.
