I had been in my home for almost 11 years when I got the news that the homeowner wanted to put it on the market. As a semi-​pro hoarder, I had boxes and boxes of documents that needed to be shredded. I looked online at all kinds of options, even ones that involved loading the boxes in the car and driving around town to dispose of them in a secure manner.
Someone mentioned I might look at a sight that begins with a woman’s name and ends with list. Sure enough AccuShred had a coupon for $ 50 of shredding for just $ 25…and they would come get the boxes from me. I purchased the coupon and made an appointment for them to pick up at my home. The one thing I didn’t establish was a time. Wouldn’t you know that in the 20 minutes it took me to borrow a friend’s pickup they arrived, and not finding me home or answering the phone, they moved on their route. Grrrr… I had taken the day off work specifically to get this taken care of. I phoned the office and they couldn’t get back until the next day. Fortunately, Michael called me later that day to let me know what time the driver would arrive.
I took more time off work the next day and left early enough that I knew I wouldn’t miss the driver this time. Unfortunately this time he was an hour late… and didn’t have a hand truck to move the boxes from the basement to the truck. Good thing I do have have a hand truck. The driver was very grateful and apologetic and even though I went over the limit for the $ 50, he didn’t charge for the extra boxes because of the inconvenience.
I would definitely use AccuShred again, but now I know what to expect and will do a better job of communicating what my needs are.

I drive by AccuShred NW at least twice a week, so when our business had a whole lot of boxed files to shred, my husband called them to find out how to go about it. The person he talked to was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful, and the pricing was the best my husband could find. It’s a little scary to have private documents in the hands of someone other than ourselves, and we felt very comfortable having AccuShred NW handling them after my husband’s phone call.
We scheduled an appointment for AccuShred NW to come to our place of business the following day. They arrived on time and the young man who moved the boxes from our lower level to the truck was a hard worker and very competent, and never once complained about having to go up and down all the stairs.
All our boxes were taken to the plant to be shredded although we had the choice to have them shred the documents on site, but our long, narrow, driveway would not have accommodated the larger truck. The company is licensed and bonded and we knew that our sensitive records would be protected until they were shredded.
The following day we received a phone call from the company to find out if we were happy with their services and to tell us that they’d be more than happy to help us in the future.
My husband and I were both extremely satisfied with the service that we received from AccuShred NW and wouldn’t hesitate to call them out in the future. Highly recommended!
