Amy is the stylist and owner of this somewhat hidden gem, but all you need to know is that it’s a couple of doors west of the Local Cow on Main Street in Gresham. Or across the street from Billy Bob’s and Gresham Guitar. Or the Gresham Museum aka the former Gresham Library.
While there are over 50(!) hair salons in Gresham, none meet the caliber of Gypsy Soul. It’s one client at a time and that makes it personal.
I’m just going to list all the reasons I love it and why you will, too.
1. It’s upstairs in an old Gresham building and the view from the real vintage windows is great when you’re sitting under the hair dryer.
2. It’s decorated in an elegant but funky manner… so fun!
3. Amy listens and asks questions but isn’t afraid to be honest. She gives you what you didn’t know is absolute perfection.
4. It’s comfortable and peaceful. You will feel like you’re in an exclusive salon and actually, you are.
5. Coffee. There’s always coffee.
6. The prices for services are absolutely fair and within reason. Too many salons have bloated fees for less than what you’d receive here.
7. Amy is the best stylist, hands down. Every single one of my friends that I’ve referred her to have kept her as their own.
8. I receive compliments on my hair from the day I walk out of there to the day I come back again. Most of those compliments are from complete strangers ranging from a group of kids at a stoplight to a guy in the frozen food aisle to a kid on a skateboard as I was driving past him with the window down.
10. Kristi is all things magic with waxing. These two girls will change your damn religion. You’re welcome. Make an appointment.

I came to Kristi pretty… uhm, hairy. Lol With utter professionalism she removed all of my unwanted hair and gave me nicely groomed brows. The shop is darling, warm and inviting. Feels good to support a young entrepreneur. Highly recommend!!!

Lets begin with Kristi is amazing. I have been going to her for 4 years now. I’ve been to other places to get waxed and it was really awkward. They stick you in the back closet they call the waxing room and shut the door on you. Not at Gypsy Soul Salon. The salon is always clean smells nice and Kristi is very nice and making people feel welcome. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is looking to get rid of that annoying leg, arm, face or bikini hair lol. its very relaxing for me when I come in to get waxed even though waxing isn’t the most pain free but the ambiance of the place really sets me at ease. I will continue to come here and get waxed. Take my word you will not be disappointed when you come here for your wax treatments.
