Went here to study, sat down and not more than 15 min in did 2 employees come up to us and ask us to buy something or we need to leave. This was very maddening because my group are regulars here and always order something, maybe not right when we walk in, but we always buy something. We understand it is courtesy to buy something if you are going to use the building, but we barely got a chance to sit down before we were hassled. I will never be coming back here.

This place is stingy with their space and if you have not bought something within a certain time frame will try and kick you out. Not a chance was given to buy a snack or drink. There is no sign saying outside food is not allowed. Really liked this place. it’s too bad people judge so quickly and jump to react. Would have been a long time costumer.

Been coming here for awhile to study and today came in to study and wasn’t ready to order a drink. Employee, little guy with facial hair, said my group either had to order or leave. won’t be returning. He had no reason to bug us. Always order a drink, this time didn’t get the chance to.

They pack a lot in a little coffee! First time into this place with my boss and and our employee for a meeting. I never would have thought such a great little place existed in a strip mall. Really original furnishings with beautiful hand cut wooden tables, comfortable couches, and a truly memorable atmosphere which puts you in front of the fireplace with a laptop or a good book. Had a great coffee here. Really nice because they offer two blends for house coffee with refills, and it’s local coffee at its finest. Service was very good as well. Very attentive, caring, and you never felt like they were waiting for you to leave. Super clean here too which is important to me. Restrooms, seating area, and coffee condiment area is spic n’ span. Overall, just a fine value in a fine place. This will be my stop when I’m working in Gresham!

Warm atmosphere, it was pretty busy when I visited at midday. Baristas were pretty competent. I just moved back here from NE Portland, where the baristas are world-class. Origin is likely one of the better coffee shops in Gresham. While I didn’t love the roasts they have, drinks were brewed properly(though a bit weak, I like it strong) and they were pretty knowledgable about it. It felt a bit too cozy when full of seniors & teens, so might be a bit noisy. They have a nice fireplace chair. Snacks were good. I probably won’t return until they pick up some different beans. At least some Water Ave., Happy Cup, or Stumptown roasts would make a huge difference.

The baristas here are the absolute best! One of the baristas recommended that I get the London Fog: earl grey tea with steamed milk and vanilla syrup and I was surprised that I actually liked it considering that I don’t like to try new things! They also have a variety of gelato flavors during the summer, all of which are delicious. This place is a great hidden gem in Gresham, Oregon.

The coffee and food is decent and the atmosphere is kinda cool. They wouldn’t accept a $ 50 bill which I thought was weird… Made me feel a little uncomfortable as the customer.

The coffee shop itself was cute and I was really diggin’ the tables. My boyfriend got a regular coffee(free refills, self serve) and I had a Spanish mocha. Our drinks were nothing too memorable, but not completely terrible either. My boyfriend and I were two out of the four customers in the coffee shop. And let me just note, the other two customers were already seated with their drinks. We glanced up at the menu, trying to decide what to try, until the male barista abruptly asked, «what do you want?» No greeting whatsoever. He seemed so annoyed and so unenthusiastic. Maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe that’s just his demeanor. Either way, he obviously needed the coffee more than we did.

Great coffee! Tastes delicious! And the place is cozy! My favorite is the mocha but even the cappuccino wasn’t bad. This morning I got the chocolate croissant: it was terrible. Just stick with the classic muffin, it’s better.

Origins is my favorite coffeeshop in the Gresham area. Not only do they have a variety of delicious coffee, but also yummy pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and grilled cheese sandwiches. A great place to study, meet up with friends, and even just relax. The staff is always friendly which only enhances the shops casual and hip atmosphere.

Such a great coffee shop. I love how the barista’s know their coffee! This isn’t your typical Portland hipster shop but at the same time it’s not ghetto. It’s perfectly in between you’ll catch people meeting up here to discuss business and school and other folks just quietly studying away. Great atmosphere! One thing I would suggest is for them to remodel a bit and touch up the furniture and tables. Other than that — bravo to Origin’s!

This shop has good atmosphere although the mish mash of tables is a bit odd. There is a gas fireplace and photos of the history from the site(Multnomah County Fairgrounds). Beautiful tungsten filament overhead lights and modern coffee brewers round out the place. I stopped here while on a camping trip in east county. Latte was okay and served in the newer«luke warm» preparation that many newer coffee houses use. Please note, that is not a criticism, I’ve just preferred the classic high temperature serve. Whole milk is the default. If I lived in Gresham, I could see spending time here. Food wise, they have Marsee or a similar local pastry choice in the case. There are modest breakfast and lunch offerings as well. There is gelato but for some reason they don’t use it for their milkshakes.

Wow this place is so cute. I walked in ordered my coffee. Got it super quickly. I will definitely be coming back when I’m in the area. Too bad I don’t live as close to this place as I used up. The vanilla latte is on point. Not of the top ten for sure that I have tried from anywhere. I recommend this place for sure :)

I’m about blow your mind: I just had incredible coffee. In a strip mall. In Gresham. The owners are a husband/wife team who 1. are total coffee geeks, 2. know their stuff, and 3. will make sure you get the absolute best of what you came for, whether that’s a whip-creamy hot chocolate or a cold brew straight from the drip tower. The fireplace, free wifi, and ample seating made me stay, but it’s the coffee and the super kind service that will bring me back.

Nice little coffeehouse hidden away in a strip mall in Gresham. You can really tell they care about their product, their coffee is great, and the customer service is nice as well. They paired my girlfriends coffee beans to her drink choice which was a nice touch and made a very nice impression on the both of us. Plenty of tables, comfy leather couches, and power outlets for your reading and laptop needs. If you enjoy studying in a coffee shop setting give this place a try! Would take this hands down over most coffee chains.

A nice coffee shop out in Gresham. You get a totally different vibe here compared to more popular coffee spots in Portland. The baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable — without the snooty-face reactions when you have questions about coffee, drinks, etc. It’s nice not to be treated like an idiot when you have questions… As for coffee, I have enjoyed all the drinks I’ve ordered here. My latte was crafted beautifully. I ordered an almond latte and the barista picked the best beans he felt would be most complimentary to the syrup. I guess they have more than 1 variety to choose from to pull their shots AND they grind it fresh then and there. Cool! The drip coffee was delightful as well. Not too acidic or burnt tasting. Usually I have to drown acidic/burnt tasting coffee with cream and sugar, but the drip coffee here was delicious with just a little of each. Gelato did not bring as much joy, unfortunately. I had been eyeing the cake batter flavored gelato all day(I had a long study day) and finally caved. I probably should have tasted it before asking the bf to get me some. I wonder if it’s an old batch since the weather is colder and it doesn’t look like they sold very much of the stuff all day(HELLO. clue #1. I should have known better…). Anyway, the taste was ok to good, but the texture was way off. Not smooth at all. Instead it was gritty and not satisfying. Other reviews have raved about gelato, so I wonder if it was just a doozy. Gelato isn’t gong to make me shun this cute coffee shop though, I will definitely be back for study time and coffee.
