I’ve been boarding my horse here since September, and me and my horse both love it! These people know what they are doing with horses, obviously consider safety a priority, and try to create a happy atmosphere at the barn. Horses are turned out daily in herds or individual paddocks, except in really bad weather. When horses have any health issues, they are quick to notice, tend to the horse, and get in touch with the owners if serious. They offer affordable self-care as well as full-care, and are super flexible with turning out and care, so that your horse is cared for as you wish. For a control freak like me who likes to choose my own food and feed my girl myself, it doesn’t get any better. The people who board here are super-duper nice, too, and some of the people running the joint also offer lessons. If you are just getting started with horses I highly recommend getting lessons from either Jessica or Becca — the lessons are affordable and the young women are fun! The location is essentially at 190th and Foster, so it is closer in than just about anywhere that I’ve checked out(and I did a lot of looking for the right place when I moved). The only reason I’ve knocked off a star is that the arena is on the small side and the place could use some updating/work that doesn’t get done because they don’t own it. Nothing dangerous, mind you — any dangerous repairs are attended to immediately — but some things could be done to better winterize the place and cut down on mud at the pasture entrances. In all, though, I am definitely happy with this facility and the people here, and will board here as long as I can!
