As far as sandwich joints go this place is a solid 5. Clean, good menu selection, friendly staff, and fast service. The Hungarian Mushroom soup is delicious and I had a Reuben that was very good. Not much selection of dining establishments in Gresham so I was glad to find this place!

Okay so while the service ladies were very nice, the overall food itself was mediocre at best. We each had a panini and my fiancé’s panini had slices of what looked to be processed turkey even tho he got the chicken pesto panini. It was pretty flavorless overall, but I’d be willing to go back and try the baked goods.

I’m a regular here with to go orders. Salads are delicious. The hot grilled turkey and tots is my favorite. Love the sauce and it always tastes fresh. The owner and staff always have smiling faces even when it’s the lunch rush. Oh and the cookies… Yum!

We were driving from Mt. Hood back to Portland on vacation and looking for a simple lunch. The reviews sounded good, so we decided to give it a try. It was kind of off the beaten path, but we really didn’t know where we were, so it didn’t bother us. I ordered the spinach salad, which was very good(their garlic bread was just whole wheat bread with garlic butter on it, but surprisingly good). It had a lot of egg and bacon in it. Yummy. My husband had the T-Balt turkey sandwich with bacon and avocado on it and it was very good, too. The only drawback to the place was the location. It was across the street from the hospital and the mass transit. Maybe a little seedy? But the food was very good and the staff was nice.

I give this place two stars because I am not satisfied with the food I ate. I ordered chicken Tuscan pinnini and a ham and corn chowder soup and a breadstick. The breadstick was cold and look like it was taken out of the bag and placed on a little plate. The corn and ham chowder was not very warm either and it had the consistency of a runny soup not even close to chowder thickness. I don’t recommend this place and probably won’t go back either.

Friendly little café. Walk up ordering counter and deliver to your table. I got a sandwich soup combo. Tuna sandwich and African peanut soup(dairy free) and 2 bottles of water under $ 10. Arrived around 11a on a Tuesday and only 2 other tables. Would definitely come back.

I had a chicken Caesar salad(basic fresh and tasty), grilled ham sandwich(honey mustard was a nice touch) and a snicker doodle(best thing I had there). Cute little lunch spot, inexpensive and the guys working there are on it with the customer service.

Great little breakfast and lunch spot. My wife and I stopped in for lunch. I got the turkey with dill sandwich, she got the chicken with basil. Both sandwiches were delicious. I got a side salad and she got an African Peanut soup, and they would have been great in their own. Service was great. Friendly staff.

Great lunch spot! Drove in from Eugene for another reason and needed lunch so decided to try it. I got a salad with turkey, egg, avocado, bacon and a creamy dill dressing. I could eat that dressing every day! My husband got a ½ panini and the Hungarian mushroom soup. Both were top notch. The soup was not heavy! It’s spring break so even though it’s noon it’s not busy. Lucky us!

Nicest and most accommodating staff. They go out of their way to make it a good experience. Definitely a café you should check out if you’re in the area. :) Great music selection as well.

Another great locally owned café in Gresham. This place serves up a great selection of sandwiches, soup, salads and some pastries. They also serve coffee drinks. I ordered a good veggie sandwich/salad combo.

Twisted they are not. Do they have carrot juice? They do not, but we still ordered off the menu anyway. This is one of those places where you order at the counter and then they deliver it to you. One problem with that type of place is waiting for folks to make their choices, especially if the menu is full of them. This menu is that for sure. We finally chose a couple of vegetarian paninis, one was artichoke hearts/olives and other veggies while the other one was mozzarella/tomato/basil. They are 7.95 each. We thought we were through with our order when she asked us what side would we like. Wow. for that choice in «other» places it would be an extra 3.00 at least. We had a choice of their soup(which also had 2 choices), as well as fries, salad or… tots even! You seat yourself and thank goodness the place is large enough or we would not have had a table. What a great surprise when the food was sitting in front of me. Huge panini, healthy cup of Hungarian mushroom soup. I look across from Doug and his salad is spinach and almonds and the salad is also very large. The flavors did not disappoint and was scrumptious by all accounts. They’ve got a ton of salads to choose from as well and I’ll be back to check out those. I saw someone’s and it is gargantuous as well as gorgeous.

Stopped by for lunch with the kids on the weekend. A surprisingly nice place for sandwiches and soups. Definitely a nice option for the neighborhood.

This little café’ is nestled near the Gresham Transit Center. It is convenient to get to by bus, trains, and automobile! The place is clean and the staff, courteous! I have gone there on numerous occasions and have tried various items on the menu. I must say that they’re all delicious! More importantly, they offer a «soup of the day» and they’re ALL delicious! I’m rather partial to the Cheesy Potato Soup. It reminded me so much of the potato soup that my dear grandmother used to make. My wife, on the other hand, loves clam chowder and often requests it at just about every restaurant we go to that offers it. She said that the Clam Chowder here at the Twisted Carrot Café’ beats Moe’s hands down. Everyone knows that Moe’s is an icon on the coast and to have a nearby café’ offer one that is better, is wonderful! Give this little café’ a try! You won’t be disappointed!

Get comfy chairs in here and I’ll tip $ 20 next time I stop by. Probably order more than just a drink to go, too. Inviting storefront, great location.

What a wonderful place to go for lunch ! From the greeting I received to the help with my food selection the twisted carrot is awesome! The Chicken and Gnocchi soup is by far the best soup I have had in my adult life(Grandma made some good Soup when I was a young lad) ! The bowl I ordered was a great portion and so tasty ! Came with a sandwich and some orange spice iced tea! I had to end my delicious Meal with a Double OH cookie! Mmmmm! Happy New year !

I would first recommend this place to people in the area and not for tourists(aka no need to drive all the way out here while in Portland). I was on my way back from the nature side of Portland and needed a quick bite to eat. I was first upset that my sister chose such a random place to eat, but the food made up for her mistake. The prices here are cheap($ 10 and under) and the food is great. The restaurant itself is located near a work office and bus terminal. I assume this place gets packed during the lunch hour on weekdays but I can definitely see why. There sandwiches are actually quite good and I love the sides that the sandwiches comes with. I got the BLT because I like hot sandwiches and it did not disappoint. I recommend dipping your hot sandwich into the soup and it is bomb. The tater tots were also great too. I would come back here again if I am ever in the area.
