I went here to play disc golf. The course was quite fun because this park has a stand of big old growth Doug Fir trees and the course is set up with the trees as obstacles. This was my first disc golf course ever and I really enjoyed it. There is a little coffeeshop next door that is excellent for coffee and food! We got there early at about 11 am but once mid-​day rolled around the park started to fill up with people doing various things and it made disc golf more difficult and dangerous.

The great thing about Vance Park is how it packs so much beauty into such a small place. There are tall trees, drinking fountains, a playground and lots of grass all in one. Of course, it is not that big, but it does form a miniature forest.
I walked here in order to be the first to review. Lots of it is under construction, including an adjacent botanical garden. This is nice for a city park. You can walk to lots of Mexican establishments nearby.
Try going to Vance Park next time you’re around.
