The best part about this aquarium is that admission is free, and for good reason. There isn’t much to see here, but the aquariums they have are stocked with local species of fish, and the place is well-kept, albeit a little dated. My toddler son likes to look at fish, and could care less about much else, so it works fine for us. It would be nice if the aquariums were placed lower to the ground, so that kids can see the fish better. I believe they offer educational programs for school-age children, but the place was dead on the day we went, save for some Game & Parks employees in the office. I think you can also purchase park entry and hunting permits here, too. For what it’s worth, and for what it is, it isn’t a bad place.

This is a fun LITTLE place to visit, maybe while you are doing other things in the area. The tanks are clean and show a great variety of our local fish and there are exhibits that show the local wildlife and information about them. Not all kids would love it here, but if you have a little nature freak, it would be a fun place to go.
