Big EZ Seafood

Been craving a good boil and by chance we stumbled upon this gem. I ordered the shrimp boil and my husband the 10″ crawfish poboy. Perfectly cooked, packed and delicious. The price is on point… you get WAY more for your money. Super clean and very friendly service.

Ate here today. Delicious. Awesome. The crawfish was just he right amount of spice. The gumbo had meat on meat on shrimp. Loaded with flavor and meat and oh so tasty

First time there, ordered 10 pds of crawfish to go, was big time disappointed cause when I got home there were over half dead crawfish, over cooked and bunch of trash (celery and claws) I ended up throwing everything away. Never coming back again.

I haven’t been to their shop yet, but I did have some of the crawfish at a Tet celebration today. WOW. I was hesitant to buy since I’ve yet to get on the bandwagon of early crop crawfish no matter how warm the fall/​winter has been. But since the money was going to a good cause, I decided to get a little sample. Outstanding, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a shop doing their boil with as much garlic as I did today, I have a goal to try and match that level of flavor at all my boils from here on out, but in the meantime while I try to capture the flavor profile I’m going to be exploring the menu at Big EZ.

First time in Louisiana and was looking for amazing seafood, look no further. I had the fried seafood platter with shrimp fried rice, as well as the gumbo and lima beans. Everything was amazing, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Do Not leave without a bowl of gumbo, you would regret it tremendously.

I tried this place for the first time tonight and absolutely loved it!!! The owner is super friendly and chipper. Even though I only came in to order crawfish, he offered me complimentary samples of their gumbo and Lima bean soup and said it was a must try. Both were delicious. He even offered to let me sample the crawfish before I purchased it, which was really nice. I was given plenty of homemade dipping sauces to eat with my crawfish as well. Speaking of the crawfish, the Cali style seasoned with garlic is amazing!!! So much flavor! I’ve had this kind in Houston before but I don’t know of any other places in NOLA that season it that way. Absolutely worth every penny! The traditional style crawfish was very good as well. There’s plenty of tables and chairs and a counter for those who wish to dine in and he was telling me they were in the process of adding liquors and beers. I will definitely be back!

Great mom n pop seafood. Fried catfish very tender and fried shrimp perfectly seasoned. Gumbo was very good as well. Customer service is impeccable. They treat you like you’re a guest, not a number. You will not be disappointed if you come here.

Unreal service and amazing food! I’d recommend to all! The dry rub wings are tasty and seafood was delicious!

Man, I almost don’t even want to let the secret out on this amazing place but I want a lot of people to go so that it stays open, so here we are. Let me start at the beginning– Big EZ Seafood is fairly new and not only offers boiled seafood such as crawfish, shrimp and crabs, but they also offer a variety of platters and poboys. They even have yakamein!
I have been here twice. The first time I got the boiled crawfish. This is an early crawfish season, so the bugs were a bit on the small side, but I really enjoyed them. I happened to get a really spicy batch, and even though I love spicy food, they were a bit too much for me. They weren’t so spicy that it would keep me from getting them again though, and that’s all that matters.
The second time I got a 12 inch fried shrimp poboy for $ 10. Yeah, you read that right, and not only was a 12 inch poboy $ 10, but it was PACKED with huge fried shrimp! These things were fat, y’all! I was so pleasantly surprised that I didn’t even know what to do with myself. So many other Westbank poboy places charge an arm and a leg and then don’t fill the sandwich up, but Big EZ’s poboy exceeded my expectations.
The two times I got food here I got take out, but they also have tables if you want to sit and eat in the store itself. They have a wide variety of things on the menu and I won’t bore you with the details, since their menu has been posted on here. They also sell live crawfish, if boiling your own is your thing.
I will definitely be back, probably for another amazing poboy.

I love their gumbo with a grilled cheese sandwich. If you order snow crabs or shrimp, they make it fresh for you.

Everything I’ve tried is amazing! Great customer service and fast paced orders! They have the biggest chicken tenders ever, which is mouth-​watering delicious! My favorite is the Crawfish Tails on bun with their ‘house sauce’ — so good!

Last night I tried a few things and was happy with everything. #1 for me is the overall cleanliness of the place. We had the seafood platter and everything was fried perfect and you can taste the freshness with the food. Quality food for a decent price. You can’t beat it. Also the gumbo is very good. It’s hard to find a good gumbo and this place has one. The yakamein is a good choice also. I’m definitely going back soon. Worth every penny. A great find in Gretna.

Tried a few different things so far. The hamburger po boy is the best on the West Bank. The fried chicken and fried shrimp are also really good. Everything tastes fresh and hot. The fries are also really good. Good location and easy to pick up from on weekends when other places are really busy. I like how they have lots of variety. They sell some groceries inside like drinks and stuff to cook with. The people working there are also very friendly every time.

Very delicious boiled crawfish! Was a little skeptic at first when owner said he was from Cali (no offense) but he was very kind enough to let me & my boyfriend taste test the crawfish and gumbo and both were very flavorful! We ended up getting shrimp poboys and crawfish and was very pleased with our meals! Awesome customer service, will be back to get me some gumbo and also try that cali special– another flavor choice of crawfish!
