Denny’s

First I must say the service was out of this world! It’s seem that whomever is in charge of ordering, doesn’t know how to do it. I first heard this problem with the table sitting next to me, then when I went to order dessert they were out of everything pretty much also. When I asked my server, and a second server, I was told it’s a frequent problem. My server said she’s been there almost 2 years and it happens every week.

Just your average Dennys with the usual. The waitress was cool here. food is very affordable and being a trucker that counts.. come on now it’s Dennys everyone knows what’s up with Dennys. I wanted to snack so i got a Sunday which was great along with the nachos. all under ten bucks. .can’t beat that.

Just to be ornery, I ordered my meal by pointing to the photo on the menu and saying «I would like this one just like its pictured!» She left and came right back saying «Here you go!» And plunking down the picture cut out of the menu!
They got me! And when the actual plate came it was even better than the picture! See my photos below!
This is one of the nicest Denny’s I’ve ever been in! Thanks for an awesome lunch and terrific service!

I know it’s a franchise diner but I was very pleased with the speedy service and delicious food! We ordered the all-​american slam and lumberjack slam. definitely worth every penny for how heavy the meal we got!

I love so much Denny’s but this place is the worst. Waited 6mins to get seat however there were many free seats and servants were talking each other like they don’t care. 10 Mins later one servant came and asked for food and she forgot about asking drink and then we smelt the alcohol from her mount. Wow! Drunk servants working there. Worst service but food is fine.

Order the 13oz steak with shrimp, mashed potatoes and it was delicious… Sorry no picture s, I was hungry LoL cook to perfection… The steak with the burbein sauce is to die for (don’t know how to spell the sauce name) if you haven’t try it I recommend it…

5 min delay getting seated would have been understandable if the restaurant was full. There were three customers seated.
Waitresses seemed to be imposed upon when called to the table to place drink requests and again when we were ready to order. This request after waiting 10 minutes for her to come on her own.
We stayed just more than an hour but only had coffee refilled once… We actually felt bad about even requesting more in fear of her attitude and being too put out to meet the request.
No food. Out of broccoli. Out of potatoes and out of corn. Ordered a t-​bone because they were out of prime rib. That came undercooked then when it returned it was overcooked. We were told they couldn’t even make meat sandwiches due to being out of bread.
Bathrooms are closed… Not for cleaning but simply closed. The alternative was forcing a female to walk through the truck center and to the truck driver shower area where the only other restrooms are.
We drive by Gretna and this Denny’s regularly. Tonight, we decided to stop and eat. Next time we are hungry, we will just drive by… again

I like this Denny’s. We always get good service and for a chain this one can always help accommodate your needs such as substitutions. Plenty of space, great booths, and TVs to keep you up to date with the news, weather, or sports. The menu has healthy options and they have great smoothies. Not a 4 or 5 star restaurant but decent for anytime breakfast and hot sandwiches.

When we walked in, we waited for about 5 minutes before anyone even came to seat us, our waitress ended up seating us, and she seemed very stressed out as she scrambled to find a clean table.
We waited for her to find a spot, and the table was dirty and the waitress didn’t seem happy to see us as she tossed menus onto the sticky table.
As we waited for our food after ordering, we could hear a lot of random yelling coming from the kitchen. The food came quickly, however it wasn’t pleasant. I ordered the veggie omelette, thinking it would be decent, but it was literally swimming in grease. My husband and I ordered sour dough bread, when we got white bread, my husband asked our waitress, «is this white or sourdough?» the waitress said «did you order white or sourdough?» my husband said, «sourdough» then the waitress responded, «we’ll then it’s sourdough.» And walked off. It was white bread…
The place was understaffed for a Sunday morning, and the food was awful. Waste of money. Don’t bother.
