1 star is really pushing it for this place. It’s an OK place to unwind with some friends and the staff is nice for the most part. Drinks are a bit over priced for how shabby the place is. It’s falling apart! It’s small, cramped and smells like B.O. There are huge indentations in the floors! Enough to where I tripped(but caught myself) quite a few times. That is just a lawsuit waiting to happen. All it takes is one drunk person to fall and break something, then the doors will be closed for good. There was(what looked like) urine stains on the walls near the pool tables, someone had drawn penis’ on the walls with permanent marker(which had clearly been there AWHILE), The bathrooms REAKED like vomit, and their idea of a «DJ» is some homely looking people sitting behind a laptop playing music! Not to mention, the food is HORRIBLE! I ordered the mozzarella sticks and chicken strips… they were still half frozen and had a pulse… by far, the MOST ridiculous excuse for a business, ever! Absolutely NOCLEANLINESS and NOCLASS. The place is disgusting. Ps– by no means do I condone drinking and driving, but God forbid you have 2 beers and get in your car to leave. The Bungalow is in cahoots with the Gridley Police Department. Enough to where they would phone the officers sitting outside and watching the parking lot, to let them know that you are leaving and what you’re driving. *Happened to quite a few people I know* TAKEYOURMONEYELSEWHERE! If you can get to Chico or Sacramento, those are the REAL, CLEAN, ANDNICE bars to be at(well most of them).

This bar is surprisingly really cool. The owner is as sweet as they come! They even have board games to play. The location is quite weird but that kind of makes it cool in its own way. I half expect The Warriors to run out from behind a building or something. Very decent drink prices. By far the best bar in Gridley.

This is a fantastic place to chill out for an evening or to celebrate your special day! I have been here several times and found the atmosphere very lively and upbeat, the facilities modern, and Barbara the hostess, full of energy and always welcoming! Strongly recommend it!

Okay, so 4 stars is a bit high for this neighborhood bar, but it is definitely 4 – 5 stars for a Gridley bar. To qualify that statement, the other hot bar in town is a trailer in the parking lot of Safeway. So, you see what we’re working with here. They have Karaōke on Fridays. They have pool. The friendly people playing pool will actually ask and encourage you to play with them(rather than hoard the tables and get pissed when you need to walk by them on your way to the bathroom, like some places). The bartender, Shawna, was super nice and kept me company until my friend arrived. We sat at the bar, drank enormous«schooner» beers and chatted for hours. My friend tends to be a bit indecisive about her girlie beverages, so we left it to Shawna to get creative. They even had something called«Sweet Tea» Seagrams, although neither my friend nor I were adventurous enough to try it. There is a super cool digital photo frame over the bar and we spied some shots of our high school friends on it. I think this would be a great place to bring a group for some post-baseball game at the park drinks, etc. I’ll be back when in town ;)

Recently renovated & under new ownership(Barbara is as cool as they come), it is by far(IMHO) the best watering hole in town, its clean, serves decent reasonably priced drinks. They also have a snack menu to cure the inevitable«munchies». There’s Kareoke during the week & a live band on the weekends. There are several flat screens to watch your favorite sporting event — which I guess means that it also doubles as a «Sports Bar» — hey, works for me. Only downer is no taxi available in town, however, If you need a ride, I understand that in some cases the staff may be able to arrange one for you — otherwise you will have to have a taxi dispatched all the way from Yuba City(which is about 15 miles away) so plan on having a designated driver.
