My husband and I moved to Griffin from McDonough and needed a place to take our son. We went on word of mouth from our friends. There are not many options in Griffin, so I felt like I was making the best decision since all of my friends with kids put their children here. Unfortunately, after trying to stick it out for several months, we had to pull our son out because he could not stay well. I will say that I loved the teachers in his room. They were all so sweet. I think the issue lies with management. The Director seemed to be over it. She’s been there for A LONG time, and it just seems like maybe she needs to retire. Your child is moved into different classrooms at her discretion — not at a specific milestone — so as a result, my son, who was a walker, was in the room with the crawlers because that’s where she thought he should be. I’m not sure if anyone really monitored the health of the children coming in, and once I asked a teacher if parents were required to come get their sick kids, and she told me some parents flat out refuse to pick up their kids. This is extremely unfair to the other children there. Ultimately, we felt that the cleanliness and overall lack of attention to the health of the children that came in and out was and is detrimental to our child, so we took him out. I wish the best for the teachers. They truly loved our son, and for that, we are very grateful.
