Love the pulled pork and smoked meat loaf. Decent beer choices. The atmosphere is laid back.

Biggest side of onion rings I have ever seen. Crispy and tasty. The burnt ends sandwich was also large and tender. Beer selection was good. Had a nice cross section of different beers. From an IPA to stout to common Bud. I will give this place another stop.

Little Sunday gem! Popped in here after a photoshoot before heading back into the city and while I wouldn’t trek out here to eat there, I enjoyed my BLT with Yuca fries. The yuca fry dip is really hot and could be dialed back a bit, but loved the toast for the Blt and it was an affordable price. If I was in the area I would stop by again.

I really wanted to give this place a good review. When my friend and I got there, the hostess apologized in advanced, there was a wedding party there and the wait staff may be busy. Obviously too busy to wait on us. 45 minutes after sitting down we had the first interaction with our server. She apologized again, and took our orders. Nearly an hour later we got our food. By then, a table near us had left, a new one had sat down, and they were getting their checks. |The food was good, not knock me out of the park good, but good. I had the BBQ combo plate with brisket and pulled pork. When she put it down on the table, she told me that I won’t even need the knife, the brisket is like butter. With her there watching, I took my fork and pushed into the brisket, it sponging back. She was speechless and left us to handle other table. I’ve had better brisket from Dickey’s. We then waited a full hour until getting our checks from a completely different waitress, flagging her down asking what we should do. During that hour we saw our original waitress, go back and forth past us, ignoring us every time. Eventually watching her clock out, and sit and the bar to have a beer less than 5 feet from us. I understand the plight of a waitress, but to completely ignore us, this goes beyond bad service. There were multiple times we were considering just leaving, I’m still not sure why we didn’t.

I’ve eaten here twice: The first time was a lunch with my work colleagues and we were all stunned with the awesomeness of the food. The brisket Philly sandwich was exceedingly tasty and so plentiful that I had to take half of it home for later(lucky me!). The yucca fries were a sumptuous adjunct, and I heartily recommend them over any other side dish. The server was more than amiable & attentive, and we lamented the fact we couldn’t enjoy the libations at the bar, especially the myriad of craft beers they had available. 5-Star this experience. My second visit was memorable, but not for good reason. After such a great first time, I treated my mother and daughter to lunch one Saturday. Granted, the weather was horrible and there was a large kids party going on in the restaurant, but I was rather underwhelmed. It took the waitress three times to finally bring a high-chair for my two-yearold. When our meal finally came, the BBQ chicken sandwich was merely cubed chicken on Wonder-bread smeared with mealy BBQ sauce. When I ask for«no bread» the expectation is you take the bread off the plate, not just expect me to eat around it. The Brunswick stew was abominable, looking and tasting like warm gazpacho from a frozen foods store. Consistency is key in the restaurant business; one screw up can easily ruin a thousand kudos. Eat at your own risk, but definitely hit up the bar and have one of their craft beers.

I went here for lunch yesterday with my sister. It was our first time. We will be coming back for sure. I had the Cuban. It was good, but I don’t think I would order it again. It was a little different than I am used to. However, the appetizer cheese bite things were so good and you get a lot with one order. Also, the sweet tea here was very good and that’s a big plus for me and my family. Will definitely be coming back!

I did not have a good experience here. I came with a large group of friends — probably around 7 or so. It was our first time here, and we did not return. Our waitress was very short with us and did not speak to us with any enthusiasm or excitement. Our food took a very long time to come out, somewhere around a hour and a half before we received it, and when we did, the meals were delivered with some of the food portions, while we received the other portions later, a few of them five minutes or more later. The smoked mac and cheese tasted like it was cooked with a couple cigarettes in the pot, and I am not exaggerating. We were not aware that waitresses make an hourly wage(somewhere around 10 dollars I believe) and should deny tips for that reason. We tipped anyway(though I don’t believe it was much) due to not being notified to keep our tip money. However, the atmosphere is very nice — very homey and warm, with low lighting and a chill aesthetic, with just a small hipster flare. The beer options are unique and they have a very wide selection. If you’re solely looking to drink, this would be a very good location to go to, though have no knowledge on what the customer service is like on the bar side.

Went here again two nights ago with a group of friends(there were eight of us) and the experience wasn’t much better than the last time. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’ve only been here with a group or what, but once again, it took an hour to get our food. The servers were more responsive this time, though — we were able to order almost right away. I will say that this time my food was great. I had the Cuban; it came out hot and it was really tasty. However, two of my friends had their food come out cold. The waitress took the orders back to the kitchen, and when she returned with the plates, their fries were WAY overcooked to the point of being inedible. I think that instead of being given fresh fries, they just threw their fries back in the fryer. I tried one of them. It was really awful. This place is hit or miss at best, and definitely don’t come here if you have plans afterwards. If you do, you’ll be late.

The brisket was amazing my wife and I both enjoyed it. The wait staff could not have been more prompt or courteous the bartender gave my wife a sample piece of brisket because she had not tryed it before. Only complaint would be the hostess I don’t think she knows how to smile.

Hate to see the bad reviews. This place rocks and hope griffin will keep it alive! The friendliest owners. Always come to make sure you are enjoying your food. Menu varies from day to day(atleast the times I have been) but everything I had was just what I was expecting. Great food. The cooks really know what they are doing. Also live music on the weekend. Who wouldn’t want to go enjoy a nice pulled pork sandwich on toasted bread and listen to some great music!

Really nice atmosphere. The food was outstanding. I had the smoked meatloaf(yeah I know but it was good). My wife had the brisket and it was. The yuca fries were also a good twist as well. We will be back.

I feel bad leaving a bad review because this place means well and has friendly staff, but the food is brutal. I got the burnt ends sandwich and the sauce they used was so bitter it made me cough with every bite. My friend got the smoked meatloaf, recommended by others, and it was dry and no appetizing either. Combine that with blasé appetizers(I got the portabella fries and they were over battered and over fried) and this this place is a no-go.

Impressed they had Yuca Fries! Enjoyed the restaurant; they serve barbecue, but I would not call this a barbecue restaurant since they have a wider variety of food. It is more an all american restaurant with a barbecue flair. They do have creative options; we tried to portobello fries last night. The portions are on the smaller side. It is unique in that you do not tip and all soda drinks are only $ 1. The interior is clean and the location is convenient. The prices are higher, compared to other Griffin restaurants; however, if you take tipping into account I think it is competitively priced. We go on Wednesday for trivia and it is not too crowded. The speakers are horrible. Service was friendly and fast. The food was good, but not something you’d write home to mom about. We will defiantly be returning for trivia and for dinner out. If you live in griffin it is defiantly worth a try.

Had the pulled chicken sandwich, on a knot roll using«Daves sauce» with a side of wonderful homemade onion rings. I would come back tomorrow and eat the same thing again. It is highly recommended.

It’s delicious. We got the BBQ Fries for an appetizer, and they were great. I got the Brisket Plate with slaw and Brunswick stew. Everything was delicious. I loved the sweetness of the BBQ sauce and the slaw. The stew even has a sweet taste, and I thought it was great. The wait staff was also very good. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’ll definitely be going back.
