I agree with the 1st review, prices vary, some are very, low and others are a bit high. You can find some good buys on name brands like BB Oat Bread for $ 2.50 at times. Ice Mountain 3 liters are $ 1 each just like at Walmart. The meat prices are very good and they have a great produce department with lots of variety, very reasonable prices and very fresh. You have to pay attention in the dairy. The eggs are badly priced and American cheese usually has a deal but much of dairy is pricey. If you are looking for non-edibles definitely go to the dollar store or Big Lot. But I did find a Phone Jack(splitter) for $ 1 which Radio Shack wanted $ 7 for! The area is not shakey at all. I grew up in the suburbs and would be sensitive to that, if it were the case. Menards is right next door and parking lot is well lit. A few blocks over on Ridge you are definitely in Gary but it is the nicer part of Gary. When I cant get to Super Walmart, this is my next choice! I can get decent amount of groceries to get me through to pay day for $ 25-$ 30 or less that would run me $ 50 at Jewels.

Pay Low? Lies. All lies!!! That name is deceitful I tell ya. More like Pay High. Why? cuz it really isn’t a bargain. And there were cheaper prices at the dollar star adjacent to this grocery store. I know because I went browsing in the dollar store.(I mean who can resist dollar stores.) It’s a shitty grocery store in a janky town. It makes Jewel in chicago seem a million times better in selection and prices. Skip it and go the extra few miles for Meijer. ooooooo Meijer.(I mean who can resist Meijer). dead to me.
