A very cute place to grab a quick sandwich and a view into the past. The prices are very reasonable and the diner is very clean. I don’t find the food to be remarkable, but what the place lacks in culinary pizzazz, it makes up for in it’s atmosphere. The soda fountain drinks are authentic and delicious, so drop in for a REAL cherry coke. Don’t miss it for the fun and the opportunity to bask in past times.(Just be certain you bring cash… they don’t accept credit or debit cards)

Candyland Station is a real slice of 1950’s nostlagia. Located in a restored vintage gas station, complete with the old gas pumps, and a 25 cent jukebox, this place has great food, and fun atmosphere. I had the Tuna Melt and a 1919 root beer from the tap. Both very tasty, with great service. Take Historic US Route 6 to Grinnell and enjoy a slice of americana.
