Unfortunately, I’m not a big eater of Mediterranean food, which is what this place mostly serves. But they do have some basic dishes and I had their cheeseburger and found it to be delicious. Fries were quite tasty too and they’re seasoned. Really the reason I give it 5 stars was because of the server. When I arrived it was right before the dinner crowd and Kyle was my server. He was attentive and friendly. Being as it wasn’t that crowded in the beginning, you should expect that. But a friend of mine was showing up later, so I sat there by myself for a while and I observed the place as it got more and more busy. For a long time, Kyle was the only one working the floor, so I was impressed that he kept my drinks coming regularly while the place got very busy. He was able to notice right when I was at my last sip and quickly asked if I’d like another. I believe that to be good service. By the time my buddy did show up, it was pretty much packed in their and Kyle was still able to take his order at the precise right time and throughout the rest of the night he always knew when to stop at our table. So great food and excellent service. decent beer selection; although I do wish they had more on tap.

I’ve gone here a few times, and their food is always super fresh, and delicious! The pricing is rather decent too for the amount of food that you receive. The garlic paste and bread is AMAZING and ridiculously cheap. It is one of the few restaurants in the GP area that doesn’t seem to have inflated prices, and it is a must try if you are in the area.

Always great food and great service. They use fresh ingredients in everything. I love the beef. pork kafta wrap and their vegetable dish. If you are a local you can ride the trolley there.

Very good place to grab lunch or dinner. You don’t have to absolutely love Mediterranean food to enjoy it either. Personally a fan of the chicken shawarma options, the fattoush salad, and the lentil soup is pretty solid. The portions tend to be rather large, so sharing is not out of the question. Full bar and on good spring and summer days, the outdoor streetside seating is nice.

We absolutely love Park Grill and order carry out weekly when we don’t feel like cooking. Chicken kebob dinner and Deboned dark meat are fab and the garlic sauce is to die for. Not totally in love with the grilled veggies, but everything else we’ve had is terrific. Highly recommend. Staff is great, too.

Dynomite– Contemporary Mediterranean with some unique dishes all excellent. Tasty cocktails, good staff, hip, mellow interior, reasonable prices. The fresh salads are standouts. Cant believe this place has a single negative review. Needs a more catchy name, though.

Yummy! But vegans beware– the hummus has yogurt. I was shocked and sad their hummus isn’t vegan. But the server took the time to investigate with the kitchen to help find a truly vegan entrée. I ordered the veggie plate — minus hummus and spinach pie— with lentil soup. Side-note– The rice pilaf is not vegan because they use a chicken base. But the rice that they use for the grape leaves is actually vegan. The house dressing was amazing, and lentil soup yummy! Loved the grape leaves too. And the roasted potatoes

This is a relaxing spot in a busy part of Grosse Pointe. The building itself is of the smaller variety, but there’s enough bar seating and tables for groups of people. Bigger groups(more than four people) will probably have to wait on most weekend evenings, but groups of two can probably walk in and get seated promptly. Its design is nothing spectacular and pretty forward, though it’s got a relaxing aura about it. No bells and whistles here, but the food and service is excellent. They have a decent number of craft beers on tap, many wines on their list, and they also have good cocktails. The food is great. The pita and garlic were addicting, as it can be at most Mediterranean places, and they give you a ton of garlic to dip the pita in. I ordered the steak shwarma for my entrée, and all entrees come with either fries, garlic mashed potatoes or rice.(Or, you can pay extra for grilled veggies.) I opted for the garlic mash — and it was AWESOME. It’s of the chunky variety, very filling and very tasty. The wraps are well priced and can fill you up as well if you’re not hungry enough to eat a baby cow, like I did. The steak was cooked perfectly and went well with the garlic and potatoes. Very filling. I enjoyed this place. It’s casual dining with good food and good drinks.

We went late on a Saturday night, and asked the staff several times if they wanted us to leave so they could close up and we were told no problem. The bartender was rude and the staff was rude and after many very good meals, this time was really bad. My rice was cold, and my wife’s chicken was like rubber.

Here are our observations on Park Grill since they re-opened: Price: Their prices have gone up considerably, many items have doubled or more in price. Portion sizes: The portion sizes have been drastically cut since the restaurant re-opened. Service: Absolutely horrible. It used to be great but every time we have gone since they re-opened the service has been slow. When ordering carryout it has not been ready in the time they said it would be. Also, being placed on hold for up to 4 minutes when trying to order carryout is a big negative. Food quality: I don’t know what happened when they re-opened but each time we have dined there we’ve noticed the distinct lack of flavor in the food. The spices and flavors that we used to enjoy are gone. In summary: Higher prices for smaller quantities of sub-par food with terrible service is not a formula for success in the restaurant business. We used to love this place and would dine there at least once a week before they closed for remodeling. In the time since they re-opened we have been consistently disappointed to the point that we have vowed not to return. We live in the neighborhood and would often walk here. The owner and his mother that run this place are very nice people and they had a great thing going before they closed for renovations. Something got seriously off-track since then and it is a shame because this placed used to be such a fantastic restaurant. This place would be great on an episode of «Kitchen Nightmares» with Gordon Ramsey.

For the second time in a few weeks I’ve gone there for a meal & drink. I sat at the bar by myself and then was ignored & ignored some more by the 2 female bartenders. It got so bad I finally took my phone out and started my stopwatch to see how long this would go on. After 7 minutes I decided that I had enough abuse and decided to take my business elsewhere. The last time I was there with a girlfriend we decided to hang in there because we’d gone there to chat and hang out and after being ignored for a long time and just laughing about it — like are we invisible or what? somebody finally deigned to acknowledge us. I was in no such mood for that tonight having had a rough day already. As I was leaving the person sitting next to me commented they had experienced a similar treatment. My 1 star isn’t sour grapes over one bad experience, since they’ve remodeled and reopened their service has been consistently atrocious. I’ve been left hanging on hold and hung up on for carry out multiple times, shown up for my orders only to wait longer then they said, got home and not had the correct order. And their prices went up and the portion sizes went down. A crappy way to run a business — but they have a bit of a captive audience since we don’t have a lot of options in our little town, hopefully more people will complain with their feet and $‘s and they’ll fix things.

The food is ok… I tried hummus and steak shawarma. Must be honest that I wouldn’t come back… Steak in shawarma wrap is good, but sometimes my teeth hurt a bit when chewing, had to take all onions out(I’m allergic). I actually can eat the garlic spread, it’s not too strong. Hummus is decent, I have tried a few better ones. The waitresses are nice enough to keep me come back though. Sorry if my review is bias…

So happy I went here today! Perfect portion sizes, tiny twists on Mediterranean fare, a menu that indicates dietary limitations, nice ambiance, great service, peaceful, relaxing. Street metered parking, a cute sidewalk patio, and lovely interior art. Aka, the perfect restaurant. Did I mention a full bar? That too my friend. Happiness is the Vegan Fasoule.

Our family used to go here frequently for carry out and dinning in before the renovation. We loved the amazing food and great prices. I’ve dined in and had carry out several times since the remodel. The new interior is very nice and the bar does have good drinks. The only thing that is the same however is the garlic dip. All the meat and rice has become bland with no detectable spices or marinades which is what made the pre-renovated food so wonderful. Portion sizes are down considerably while the prices have gone up considerably. It’s OK food now in a nice atmosphere. We won’t be going back.

I had a really great meal here tonight! It was my first time here for dinner since they’ve opened after remodeling and I am very impressed and pleased! Laura waited on us and the service was top notch. We had spinach pie appetizers that come with a yogurt dill sauce that we enjoyed. I had a soup that was the daily special I would recommend(tomato mushroom orzo.) For dinner I had the shwarma combo(chicken and beef.) Although generally I prefer lamb to beef, this was delicious and you could tell the beef was a very good cut and quality and I enjoyed it immensely. I am so glad to have rediscovered another restaurant within walking distance of my house that can be a regular, go to spot for me. Good job guys!

The food here was nothing to brag about. My wife and I decided to give this place another try and I wish we had just stayed home for pizza. This place does not have authentic Mediterranean food. If you’re looking for fine Mediterranean food you will not find it here.

Hubby and I decided to give Park Grill another try this evening — take out this time though. And the three star review stays(two stars if you are expecting authentic Mediterranean food though). I had the lemon rice soup which was delicious! Like really delicious. The hubby had the chicken shawarma entrée which was disappointment — especially since he has to pay extra for grilled vegetables(an extra $ 1.50) which looked like something out of a frozen bag and some left over lettuce and cabbage leaves. The fattoush side salad he said was good tho. The chicken? Just like grilled chicken I make at home nothing special about it. I think the best thing about his meal was the pita bread and garlic paste.(We also had to pay an additional $ 1.50 for some more pita bread). For $ 22(plus tip) we really expected more. Way more. Especially since one of us has a soup!!! Sigh. Yeah. Three starts just about does it. If you are expecting authentic Mediterranean/Lebanese/Greek whatever food. you won’t find it here. If you are too lazy too cook and want to eat something relatively healthy. Park Grill will hit the spot, but will leave you wondering if you would’ve been better off just cooking something for yourself. The other thing I don’t understand? You spent so much money on a renovation but you don’t even have a WEBSITE??! What’s up with that?!!
