We ordered a filet that and vegetables(broccoli and cauliflower), the filet came with another vegetable other than what the server stated. So my husband sent it back. My daughter ordered cheese ravioli with meat sauce and melted mozzarella. They put palomino cause on instead and completely burned the ravioli. They didn’t even offer to make it right. I ordered a chicken dish that tasted awful. The server never offered a desert, or anything to make it right. I won’t be coming back. Btw-there are cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. This place looks tired.

Great food, poor service, rude staff. The server wasn’t by very often and his bussers did little work and had attitudes while doing it. Food was good but undercooked. I asked for medium rare and got rare and was almost a little cold on the inside. If you are one of those who likes to substitute or is a little picky then forget about this place. They make it very difficult to personalize your meal. For the price I would have liked to see better service.

My fiancé and I were here on February 6th to celebrated my birthday. We arrived around 5⁄515 and were greeted & seated right away. The bar had a few guests and there were some tables filled, not too busy. After about 5:30 more guests started coming in for dinner. We both ordered the cedar plank salmon stuffed with crab meat, and both had house side salad. Our waiter was so friendly and fun. We ordered a bottle of wine and he even brought out a sample of a similar wine that I love to let me try. Everything was great, the food and the service. I would come back again! Salmon was cooked perfect and arrived to our table hot & fresh. Delicious!

Excellent food and service. I’m visiting friends in Grosse Pointe and they brought me here for special event. I was very impressed by the delicious food: chicken piccata with green beans, pasta, and salad. Thanks for a great night.

Love this place. Great food, and they can always find you a seat even if it looks impossible. Great vibe.

We just moved to GP last year and were immediately drawn to Andiamo’s. The food is very good, but unfortunately the service has gone down hill just over the past year. Servers that can’t be bothered to check on their tables or actually listen to orders. We even had one waiter try to give us our check before our meals were served. The waitstaff all seem very distracted. The poor service makes this place not worth the price.

Great atmosphere, can get very loud. The bar is probably the best place to sit for a relaxing dinner. On most nights they have a piano player. The food is very good. Large portions mean there will always be enough to take home. The homemade pastas are great. The food is reasonably priced for what you get. I personally really like the gnocchi. Service has always been good. Will keep coming back.

New Menu and bucket food in wax paper made our FORMER fav restaurant very disappointing. For 20 Years we have been regulars at this cute neighborhood spot, but no longer. Gone are the simply things like olive oil, grated cheese, pasta fagioli, pasta with entrée, the fabulous garlic aoilio sauce and, most disappointing, our beloved calamari was not only downsized to a handful of bites, but was served greasy, in a tin bucket with no crispy legs. Fried peppers were added to try and pump up the downsized calamari portion. Being served food in a tin bucket made me feel I was at Red Robin or Cheeseburger in Paradise. Our fav items were deleted from the menu. The pizza was not only burnt, but is now made with pickled banana peppers, rather than fresh. Yuck! Please restore the awesome crispy calamari — sans peppers, dump the cheap tin bucket and restore the old favs. We will surely miss dining there until our favs are brought back. Well, after 20 years of being a regular, I am forced to try the competition.

New menu?! What is going on?! My family has been coming here for 20 years. We loved the old menu. It seems all of those items are all available. New items sounded ok but what is Mac and Cheese doing on Andiamo menu. That’s not Italian. Dinner was good. Meat sauce is the same(thank goodness!!) New mozerella appetiser was good. Fried cheese in sauce with olives. Desert menu is still yummy. Kit Kat is my favorite. I am hopeful the new additions don’t ruin my favorite place

This place is great! We had my graduation party and my brother’s graduation party here, too. Great food, great service, and beautiful décor.

The food here is just ok, to me and my dad. for some reason we don’t think it’s that good, or just maybe because they have a certain tasty dishes that we haven’t known to try. I had Eggplant Parmesan and my dad had lasagna. Maybe next time if we ever come here again we’ll try pizza. At the time we came, some other table had pizza and it smelled pretty good. Other than that, I don’t think I would come back here.

It pains me to have to write this god awful review. I moved back to the GP area recently and decided to give one of my old favorite restaurants a try. They remodeled, added new menu features, and even hired more appropriately dressed hostesses. Everything LOOKED good! Unfortunately, that’s where the positives stop. The waitress we had was inattentive, non welcoming, and had to ask the bar staff and other wait staff about questions I had on the menu. We had no music in the banquet room for our party(though light music could be heard from the main dining room), and I had to ask three different people four different times to turn it on. Unacceptable. Every single item on the menu had its price increased by significant amounts, yet the portion sizes were reduced. A lot. The chicken portions were cut in half, the veggie sides were in half, and the sauces seemed lacking. I guess one upside was that we were able to get as much bread as we wanted. Yay… Speaking of the vegetables, each person in my party(5 of us) had undercooked and extremely watery vegetable portions. Inedible and disgusting. My chicken dish I received looked like a piece of pre-packaged prosciutto and cheese had been thrown on top and microwaved. I paid $ 30 for that? Please… The Andiamos staff is severely deluded to think this type of service and quality will bring repeat business. This is a far, far, far cry from what they used to be years ago when Zippy and Chuck were on the line. Whoever took over needs to step it up. At the very least, the head chef needs to re-evaluate who’s representing him to the public. This is NOT a good look for him… Here are the positives: the pizza is still pretty dang good. Tastes the same as it always did and is still priced ok. The busser who took care of us that night was extremely, extremely personable, funny, attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. From across the entire banquet room, he watched one of my party drop a dork on the floor, and before we even asked our«waitress» for a replacement, he was already table side with a fresh new set of flatware. He was awesome. Upon voicing our dissatisfaction of the service and food the next day, we were offered a small gift certificate from the floor manager as an apology. $ 25 for $ 277 worth of garbage. Honestly, this gift certificate week most likely be given to someone as a Christmas stocking stuffer. We really don’t want to go back to Andiamo Trattoria… Step your game up, please.

I love this place. I have never had a bad meal here! The zip sauce and the pomodoro sauce are to die for! Go see either of the Chris’ s. They both are amazing bartenders/servers!

The first impression with the hostess was that«why are you bothering me?» No smile, no pleasant greeting. I had flowers delivered for our table, only to be told«these came for you» as they hit the table, another«unconvinced»! I made reservations, told them ahead of time about the flowers. Food was our bright moment! Fantastic dessert, great coffee, the bus boys were even pleasant! Would go there again only if hostess was“re-assigned”.

With all the mixed reviews I will have to agree on one thing… way overpriced but what do you expect your in Grosse Pointe. And obviously people are willing to pay and keep coming back for some reason. Not my 1st. Choice but not my last.

I love this place. I’ve really never been disappointed by any of their locations but this is my favorite. Steak, pasta, seafood or pizza you can’t go wrong. Even the house Cabernet is a decent bottle of wine for just $ 32 a bottle(the wine list gives you many higher end options as well). The service is usually top notch, as it was today. I have less then exceptional experiences with service but never anything that would deter me from a future visit. Biggest complaint about today’s experience was simply the temperature of the room. They did turn it upon our request but it didn’t make a difference. To be fair we were there very early and the place was empty. I’m sure that during prime dining hours the additional crowd would have warmed up the room. Without question you will always great a great meal at a great value. For a more laid back atmosphere during warmer months check out their SCS restaurant Brownies on the Lake.

Went to Andiamo’s last night with my fiancé. We had avoided them for years due to feedback from friends that they had gone downhill. Our friends were correct. The food was bland and lacked relatively all seasoning. Calamari was mediocre, nothing special and it tasting like it was a frozen version that was re-fried. The salad was nothing special as it was a typical house salad. Would have been nice to have had a caesar salad at least offered. I had their Gnocchi, supposedly their specialty. The wine sauce had no flavor, the onions were barely cooked and almost raw. The Gnocchi was descent, but I’ve had much better elsewhere. We opted to skip dessert as everything on the dessert tray looked like it was a pre-made frozen dessert. The service was subpar as well. Our server would stop by 2 or 3 times in 5 minutes when we didn’t need him and then we wouldn’t see him for 15 minutes when we did need him as our drinks were empty. Our table was also right by the service entrance to the kitchen so there was a lot of traffic. The servers kept irritating me as well as they kept using the small amount of space between my chair and the chair behind me as their pathway to go between aisles, even though the actual aisle was only 1 table away. They kept bumping into me and my chair all evening. Won’t be returning and wish I hadn’t wasted the money on a really bad meal.

Very average food, sub-par service, way over-priced. The best thing I had the whole meal was the cappuccino after the meal was over. That was delicious, but the food was very average and pricey. Our waitress was rude, and classless, cracking inappropriate jokes, interjecting in our conversation(it was a business meeting), and filling our glasses of wine to the brim so she could disappear for 20 – 30 minute intervals. I’ll probably be back due to friends dragging me here, but I won’t be happy about it. Maybe next time I’ll just order a coffee and watch them eat over-priced, poor quality food.
