The reviews were so great here, all 5 stars before me. But I don’t agree. 1.They are not cheap. 2.their skill? So so I don’t see anything special of this tailor shop. I brought my t length wedding dress to cut knee length. The tailor charged me $ 40 for simply cutting it. I don’t know exactly how that works but it is pretty different from what I read from reviews. Ask me if I would go there. For sure, no!

I went here a few weeks ago to get two pairs of pants hemmed. They were welcoming, weren’t pushy, no salesy kind of stuff, and they got both pairs done in about 3 or 4 days. Good quality work, ok price. They charges $ 10/pair of pants, which I thought was a little high… I’ll probably be back though.

Tailors are never cheap, though I guess that makes sense. I get annoyed with myself for paying to have things hemmed when I could get a sewing machine and learn to sew and do it for free, but well, I haven’t exactly gotten on that, have I? And compared to some other tailors, Mac Sunga’s prices are good. I brought six items in for various alterations and the total came out to $ 120. So it was an average of $ 20 for each item, which would seem excessive if I was just having things hemmed, but I had some more detailed work done too. I had three skirts hemmed, one dress hemmed and taken in at the waist, the sleeves changed on one dress, and a silk dress taken in with the elastic removed. The owner and his wife were nice and the shop itself was neat and tidy. Since I was only in town for a little while, I needed the items back within the week. They were ready two days before I needed them. I would definitely return here for my tailoring needs.

I called here a week and a half ago to have a guestimate as to what I was looking at in terms of price to have the straps of my bridesmaid dress taken in and the man(presumably the owner) told me I would have to bring it in to have a better idea. So I came in immediately and it turns out I needed the straps taken up, sides taken in and a little stitching in the middle so my girls wouldn’t be inappropriate for the wedding, if you know what I mean. The man was very friendly and very accommodating when I told him I would need it by August 5th. The one thing that scared me was he didn’t give me a price(and I didn’t ask). I was freaked out thinking it was going to cost $ 50+ So I came in yesterday to pick it up, also forgetting my ticket and the same man told me «You didn’t come pick it up on Saturday» it was nice knowing he remembered me after only a few minutes meeting our first time. The best part? All of that hemming; straps, sides, middle… $ 25!!! Sold. I will return here for all of my tailoring and alteration needs.

Took a pair of jeans there to be hemmed and she did a great job. Jeans can be tricky because you want the bottom stitching to look the same as the original hem. She uses a technique of detaching the bottom hem saving the stitching and shortening the jeans and then reattaching the bottom in such a way that you can’t see the seam. Very happy with them. Reasonable price — $ 15.
