Clean. Friendly. Helpful. Wineful. If you want to ask questions, learn more, and have excellent service, this is a great local place. Plus, they sell VCP under cost. Nice. My review glows more because I can’t stand the wine seller down the road. Go here. Be treated nicely.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Grosse Pointe, MI
This store is in Grosse Pointe Woods, not Grosse Pointe — useful info for people who live here. The helpful and friendly people who own it/work there make it my favorite. There are plenty of good finds on the long $ 5-bottle racks.

These guys are friendly, helpful, and have a good selection of wine and beer to suit your needs. They are able to get some of the rarest beer around and a lot of it for your enjoyment. I was told that this particular store is no longer affiliated with the Merchant’s in Dearborn. Not really much more to say other than if you are having a hard time finding a particular beer, give these guys a shot to find and order it.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Saint Clair Shores, MI
I’ve been going to Merchant’s for about 7 years now. They’ve changed ownership at least once since then, but the customer service has never seen a decline. Previously, the employees were knowledgeable about beer and wine. Now, what they lack in overall knowledge, they make up for in a desire to try new things and order whatever their customers want. For example, this past weekend I noticed a 4 pack of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. I’ve never tried this beer, but have heard good things. The problem was the price — $ 23.99÷4 pack! I asked if they would consider breaking the 4 pack and they did! No problem. On top of that, the guy behind the counter said he would take one home to try so we could compare notes. A strong desire to serve the customer — what else can you ask for?
