I agree that Dr. Bogen is nice, and does good work for reasonable prices. And the dental hygienist staff is wonderful — really personable and sweet, and do a good, gentle, thorough job.
My issue, however, is the front desk staff. They are universally snotty and offhand. One started her nasty comments before she’d hung the phone up completely, so I got an earful of how they really feel about their patients. I actually changed dentists after years with this practice, just because life is short and I don’t need to pay for getting treated like dirt.

This is my dentist! I fly back from california 2 – 3 times a year, so I can see my parents AND so see the best dentist in the world!!!
Prices are reasonable, and I pay it all out of pocket. (less than $ 100 for cleaning or filling). All the employees are excellent, and so wonderful. They are always so helpful in getting me an apt when I come into town.
And Dr Bogen is the greatest. I’ve had 4 dentists in CA try to rip me off (crown after root canal for over $ 2000!!)~ in CA, every dentist I met (save one) all tried to tell me I have cavities and they needed to drill and charge me more. Dr Bogen is honest, and has told me many times, we’ll watch areas that maybe a concern (after I see the fake dentists in CA), and doesn’t drill needlessly.
He is the only dentist that makes an excellent mouthguard for grinding teeth (not the clear retainer type that dentists in CA are crazy about but does nothing for grinding teeth). And doesn’t charge 500++ which is what every dentist I see charges in CA (except 1, that I finally found for emergencies).
I highly recommend Dr Bogen! he’s the best!!!
