Great breakfast! I get something different to go every week and I’m always happy. Philly cheesesteak omelet with some additions is great.

Everything is just«ok» I’ve been a couple of times for lunch. Salads are decent(love the steak salad, Cobb salad is good minus the chicken, it tasted leftover or re-heated). Sandwiches are loaded with meat but again, there was something off about the taste. Service is quick and prices are fair, I just don’t feel like everything is always made fresh like you would want/expect from a Deli…

Food is great(best rye bread toast ever), friendly staff, fast service. Ladies bathroom is NOT good. Filthy floor, toilet seat cover is mildewed, broken toilet handle. Needs TLC!

Where is it? Google maps takes me to an overpass and some industrial building. Didn’t see it in the shopping center near there either.

Caught between 3 and 4 stars and settled for 3. Place is clean and food is decent. Service was friendly, if not very fast. The sandwiches and salads are large and filling. I loved the cookies I had for dessert. A complaint that I have is that it’s hard for customers to know when they’re open. They keep some pretty strange hours, and aren’t even open for those posted. On the door for one day, it said they were open until 2:00 — we got there at 1:30 and it was locked. I understand that some places close early on Sunday, or don’t open Monday, but this place is open until 8 some days, 2 others, 1:45… Can’t keep track of this. If anything, this is why we don’t come here more often — we never know if they’re going to be open or not, regardless of what the posted hours are.

My son and I frequent North End on our date days. Some days are better than others. We have found what we love and are disappointed when we try to switch it up. Love the call me Maurice! Always amazing!, the pasta salad has come out warm and cold so I don’t exactly know which was the way it’s supposed to be served, the fries are ok and the baked goods are always great! A friend got the nachos and it came out with red and green chips… which was a bummer(I know it’s an odd thing to care about. But unneeded extra food dyes aren’t great) and for being a deli, I don’t understand why they don’t use fresh cheese on all of the sandwiches. The Vermonter while good, had bagged shredded cheese which doesn’t melt great. Once again, we love the things we love but have learned to not stray from that short list.

We had a group of 13 for a late breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly & accommodating. The food was TERRIFIC and the owner came to our table to say Hello. Highly recommended! Don’t forget to take home a package of the homemade granola. It’s to die for!

The bacon and eggs are decent. Coffee is kind of blah. Word of warning for keto and low carb dieters: They offer side of «one egg». What they don’t tell you is that you can’t get multiples of the one egg. Waitress neither said that nor does it say that on the menu. I ordered 2 eggs and a side of bacon. I was expecting to get charged for 2 side eggs. When bill came they rang me out as an eggs and toast meal. They never told me they were going to do that. I was charged for toast I never got. Essentially it was paying an extra two bucks for nothing. Enjoy the one star. Edit: I gave them an extra star because the waitress was actually very nice and attentive, and I did enjoy my bacon and eggs(although hard to screw up).

Diner in disguise! I thought this was supposed to be a deli. My coworkers and I decided to stop here for lunch. Immediately you notice the confused décor. Then you notice all the staff are in tie dye shirts. If I wasn’t with other people I probably would have just gone somewhere else. I got the Vermonter panini with fries. With a panini I expect a warm sandwich. Mine was lukewarm to cold. Actually the only part that was warm was the bread. The ham was cold, apples-cold, cheese-COLD. The cheese was the worst. It was SHREDDED. Not freshly shredded. Like bagged powdery shredded. It wasn’t even melted! Oh and remember people this is a «deli.» So why is there cheap shredded cheese on my sandwich? You also get an under pickled pickle. Super gross. The only thing that I will say is our server was GREAT. She was attentive and friendly. (The cashier however was extremely rude. She didn’t say one word to me. She even dropped my credit card on the floor– and left it there– while she fussed with the cash register. Finally she picks it up to swipe and still no words, no apology, nothing. Ruined my experience further. Probably would have given 3 stars because our server was so good she made me not as upset about the lackluster lunch.) There was nothing Italian deli about this place. It was overpriced and underwhelming.

I went here for lunch with a friend and I have to say the food was very good. I had the lunch special chicken bacon ranch wrap with tater tots. The portions were very large and the price was good. I liked the atmosphere as well very relaxed. Overall a good place to go for lunch :)

9 family members ate various types of meals. Burned steak, cold rice, bad soup, slow service. Our first visit was not at all good. Very sad, as we were so excited to have a place locally owned

We went here for lunch one day last week and we were pretty disappointed. I had the Philly cheese steak and pasta salad and my SO ordered a mushroom and swiss burger with fries but they gave him pasta salad anyway. The food was really bland and had no flavor. It didn’t taste homemade as someone has previously mentioned and you could tell the people making the dishes didn’t really care about what they are doing. The only good part was the fast and friendly service. Other than that I’m no longer surprised this place always seems empty.

Love this lil place. Fresh home cooked food. Good prices and great bang for your buck. It’s a local find I’m glad I discovered. Their hours are a lil weird and change from day to day so always look it up online first. So excited for me lunch and to see the specials today. Me and my girl love this place and are here regularly. Never disappointed!!!

The cobb salad is pretty decent, but I think the French onion soup is actually a thick beef stew that’s been strained, but then the leftover garbage that stuck to the screen was scraped back in. I don’t think you can just put a slice of bread in a bowl of soup and call it French onion. That thick, molasses-like playdough in the bottom third of the $ 7 bowl was inedible.

This café is snugged into a strip mall. Kind of an unusual location but worth looking for. Much of the menu is made on site so you can tweak the order to your liking. You get fresh, quality food for your dollars here. One of my favorite foods is freshly made onion rings. You guessed it. North End Café cuts and batters thier own, Made to order. Thier fresh cakes, cookies and biscotti taunt from thier display cases. I’ve resisted thus far but might succumb on my next visit. Stop here if given the chance.

I’ve eaten here twice now and have been very happy both times. First, I got a roast beef sandwich for lunch with a side of pasta salad. The bread was soft and delicious, the meat was fresh and the horseradish sauce on the sandwich was good. The pasta salad was ok, not the best I’ve ever had but it tasted fresh and homemade. For breakfast I had a special, pumpkin pancakes. They were fantastic! My husband had the eggs Benedict which he said were also delicious and my mother had French toast that she also enjoyed. Endless coffee was appreciated. The atmosphere is a little cold, but the food is good and the service is friendly and the waitresses seem to know a lot of regulars which is always a good sign. I will definitely be back here for lunch and weekend breakfasts!

I had been here one time a long time ago, and didn’t really even remember much about my experience with that visit, so I knew it couldn’t have been horrible. I went this morning for breakfast. I had a super friendly, smiling, attentive, bubbly server. I wanted for nothing as I sat at the counter. I ordered the southwest omelet with onions, peppers, pulled pork and salsa with wheat toast and home fries and coffee. The food was good, though not«oh wow». What was delivered was exactly what was ordered, however I was slightly disappointed in the aspect the omelet wasn’t as flavorful as I had imagined it would be. My overall experience was definitely a-ok. I’d go back again, I just won’t set the bar quite as high as I did this morning.

Clearly the owners put imagination into their menu. This seems to be an upscale diner/deli concept that does well in it’s execution. Panko instead of breadcrumbs, bits of many veggies scattered through the pasta salad, prosciutto instead of ham; the attention paid to the food quality is clear. We received prompt service in eating here for bfast and lunch and the prices are reasonable when compared to the quality. It’s a casual dining must when we drive through Groton-New London-Mystic during the day.
