I just painted our nursery with Safepaint, so yes, I’m now a fan and the room looks fantastic. With the leftover paint, I covered 3 hatboxes which had some awful patterns. Pros: –zero fumes –safe to use during pregnancy –samples of the Milkpaint can be purchased online via Paypal –no VOC –colours match old houses –the powder lasts indefinitely, so if you happen to gash the wall, a new batch can be mixed up easily without the need for storing cans of leftover paint –the paint is VERY flat, which is great if you want a matte finish Cons: –samples of the Safepaint can not be purchased online; the colours are brighter than the Milkpaint colours(you really need to buy sample, as the printed colours and those on the screen or literature may be very different from what the finished product turns out to be) –no stores in my area carry the paint –even when you think you’ve blended it completely, a blob of unblended powder might show up –if your mind is feeble and you’re mixing paint in batches, you will end up with walls in different colours and will have to repaint. Make enough for the entire room. I purchased 1 gallon of Snow White, 1 quart of Federal Blue, and 1 gallon of clear coat. I have just under half left after painting a small 6’x9’ room with 3 walls, excluding ceiling. Also: when you get the samples, mix by the teaspoon in small cups/shot glasses. This provides you with far more flexibility to mix a shade to your liking.
