I had to purchase a basket for an event at my job, and there was a sign on a table BUY1GET1 ½ OFF and the table was filled with gift towers and baskets all w the same theme. It seemed clear that they were trying to clear out fall stock. I chose 2 baskets and asked the sales associate if there was any way to just get 1 for 25% and he said no, so I was willing to buy 2 @ $ 40. To get a $ 20. Total discount. As he went to ring it up, he claimed the 2 baskets I chose weren’t part of the promo and there was no sale on the basket. I bought it, partly because I was already ready to, but I THOUGHTITWASDECEPTIVETOPLACEREGULARPRICEDITEMSON A SALESTABLE! Done w H&D.

I bought this product at their outlet and the jelly was over flowed in the jar and so it didn’t seal. I threw out the product and when I contacted customer service they sent me a $ 5 check AFTER contacting them for over 2 months. $ 5 did not cover the costs, I would never deal with this company again!

During a trip to Hartford back in 2011(okay we screwed up and couldn’t get a place in Boston — so Windsor Locks CT it was!) we came across Harry and David at the local mall. The first time we ended up with their smaller boxed chocolates. They tasted pretty good. So then we went back and took advantage of their buy 3 get 1 free — and bought their 2LB tubs of dark chocolate.(not high end chocolate but pretty good). $ 20/tub — which is a decent deal. Unfortunately, there have not been many Harry and Davids along our route on trips — but while in Norfolk we saw a location in the MacArthur Center. Again they had the normal buy 3 get 1 offer and we bought small boxes of chocolates — milk, dark, trio fruit and moose munch. My phone had died but as a loyal customer(signed up for their mailers and rewards) the cashier(really nice) was able to use a current promotion $ 10 off coupon. Once back at the hotel I noticed that the coupons via email were deleted for some reason and we called customer service. Again being loyal reward customers — they stated the store will honor the current offered coupons — even if we don’t bring it. We decided to get the 2LB dark chocolate tubs again — but they only had 3 — we needed the fourth. It was going to be a haul to get back to Toronto and I feared that our cooling in the car will not be sufficient to take back the chocolate all the way home — starting from Chesapeake two days prior. Being anal and planning our routes based on food runs, we were toying with our cold buys being made in Wallymart in Erie — which was about 120mi less to the border than the other Wallymart Supercenter in Lewisburg PA, along US-15. Knowing there was a Harry and David in Grove City merely cinched the deal. We arrived at the outlet mall and wandered around a bit first. The«lemonade» huts outside made me laugh — «we don’t take Canadian money». I know what you know mean. That colOURful funny money!(ROTFLMAO) I noticed(now) that there is a check in offer for a free truffle — I noticed that too in the VIP booket but we didn’t ask for any when we got to the store. They had a number of things to eat in the store — my youngest loved the yogurt covered pretzels and he bought them for himself. Personally I have no clue why so many people dislike«chocolate» or «yogurt» covered pretzels — I love them. Too bad for them I guess. I will say that those yogurt pretzels were just fantastic — a really nice flavor throughout and just the right amount of salt. We lucked out finding the four containers of dark chocolate truffles and the store had no problem giving us the $ 10 off coupon. A great score. The easy part was over — the hard part was packing it in the cooler — moving bottles out of the cooler to other places in the car so the choco would fit and then picking up ice at the local gas station. Thankfully, the chocolates made it home without incident. Overall a great company IMO — chocolates, salsa, popcorn/snacks etc — lots to choose from. Visited July 26, 2013
