Tan Etc

Over the past few years, Tan Etc has made a lot of changes! Recently, they changed their management and have improved everything that people seem to complain about.
The girls that work there now are super friendly. They take time out of their day to talk to you and get to know you. Also, they don’t PUSH sales on you like a lot of tanning salons do.
The entire salon looks a lot cleaner too. I recommend giving this salon a try. They offer packages by the week, or even special packages for new members. Also, they are ALWAYS running some kind of sale on lotions!

I had tanned here before when it was still The Tan Company, but apparently the managers have bought the business off of The Tan Company & now operate under «Tan Etc.»
I recently got a 1 month package here. The waiting area is very nice & «posh». The staff is mostly teenage girls who can sometimes be a little snarky. Their beds look pretty nice, however a few times they have been pretty unacceptable… like still greasy from the last user. Don’t even think about touching the stereos in the beds. They’re slimy from other tanner’s lotions getting all over them as they changed the channel/​volume. Not to mention there are usually dust bunnies/​clumps of something on the sticky floor and they don’t empty the trashcans in the rooms which have contained «personal hygiene products». Oh and don’t forget your own goggles, because they don’t provide them.
I usually am told that only a lower level bed is open than what I’m paying for, and when I tell them I’ll wait, AMAZINGLY one opens up but just needs to be cleaned! Like a recent visit, this happened, and the girl working the front desk asked another employee to clean the bed. After standing and talking for 5 minutes she finally shuffled off to clean the bed. Several minutes later, she came back and was asked if the bed was cleaned. It wasn’t. So she was sent off again to clean it. A few minutes pass, then she screamed from the back of the salon that it was clean. Awesome. I go in, undress, lotion up, climb in… no towel. Ugh.
Needless to say, I probably won’t tan here again even though this is the closest to my house on my way home from work. They also seem to be one of most expensive. I also think their «level 2» beds give better results than their «level 3» beds. Strange.
