Locally owned grocery store. Plenty of choices. Always have sales going on. Watch prices. Sometimes they overcharge on veggies and fruits.

This Harp’s is much nicer than the one we used to have in Tulsa. There are many more choices and the food is of a better quality. But that’s just my opinion. We stopped by this Harp’s recently on our getaway to Grove, OK. We picked up steak for our dinner at our cabin and some groceries we would need to take home. Since we don’t have a Harp’s in Tulsa, I was not about to let the 5 for 25 deal slip through my fingers. There is a large variety of products in stock and the staff was very friendly. Should we return to Grove, we are stopping here to stock up!

I would disagree with the negative reviews saying that the prices are too high. I have been shopping at Harps for a while now and I find myself favoring it over going to Wal-Mart. Yes, the prices on an everyday item is more than what you are going to pay at Wal-Mart, but they are not so much different to warrant a one star Unilocal review. The prices at Harps are very reasonable when you shop for items that are on sale. Also, if you sign up for the digital in-store coupon card, there is even more savings to be had. Harps has many benefits over shopping at Wal-Mart. First, the wait times to check out are so much better. It never fails that Grove Wal-Mart has two registers open on a busy day and you end up standing in line for half an hour waiting to check out. Second, the produce is so much better at Harps. It seems I get twice the shelf life out of fresh produce I buy at Harps. Third, you can buy gasoline which is great for convenience. Fourth, the bakery is much better than Wal-Mart. Fifth, the store is employee owned so you aren’t just lining a mega-corporation’s pockets. The main drawbacks for shopping at Harps is that there is no pharmacy and the selection is a little more limited due to it being a smaller store.

Prices have soared since they moved into their new building in Grove. The wealthy would have no problem shopping here. However, they have forgotten those of us not as fortunate who have supported them all these years. We no longer shop with them.
