I have never had a better strawberry in my life. Everything here is amazing, but OMG the strawberrys… Oh the strawberries.

Great strawberries! Huge half flat for $ 11. The field is right behind the stand. So many were ripe and ready to eat right away. You don’t get that with the supermarket berries, you always gotta ripen them. Guess that’s what happens when they’re picked right off the field and boxed for you, haha

The strawberries here are so delicious and super sweet. They are priced very reasonably and last for a long time.

Sweet strawberries! The field is right behind the stand. You can see where your food is coming from! Half flat for $ 11. So it’s been 3 days later since I bought the strawberries. Half of the berries were ready to eat outta the box. The other half have ripened very nicely in brown paper bag covering the berries sitting on the kitchen counter (around 70 degrees F). Those are now super duper sweet and ready to eat as well! If I had tried to do 3 days with store-​bought berries, there’s a high chance they would have started molding. So that says something about how fresh these berries are.

Seriously the best strawberries of my life hands down. They are so sweet and juicy. The deals are also great. I bought a large flat for $ 11. Service is great. Overall, I am so happy I found out about this place. My new stop for fresh fruit!

A colleague from work turned me onto this strawberry stand. I noticed the fields across from where I was doing some work recently. When I returned to the office one of my co-​workers informed me they had the best strawberries on the central coast. So I was anxious for March to come around so I could get some. I bought a whole flat and they were very good! I have gone back several times for more and even bought some to give away to a couple of friends. Definitely recommend Okui’s for their fresh from the field strawberries!

Best strawberries in the area (during season of course). I come here a few times a week when they’re open. Friendly people. Decent prices. Fresh picked. Easy location. Known in the community for quality fruit.

–1 for lack of smiles. I’ve been there several times. They have never smiled. comes across very unfriendly, and they just look like they wanna go home.
Green beans are so good! Strawberries are either a hit or miss.

best strawberries in the area. Plump and perfect, juicy and sweet, the epitome of summer. We got $ 6 for 3 baskets. There was other seasonal fruit there but really the strawberries stole the show.

My wife swears these are the Strawberries in the area, and she even works at a different farm that grows strawberries.

They had a mild winter which meant berries early, however the ones I just bought had a lot if green tops and were not as sweet as last years batch. Maybe they were picked too early? They covered over the less ripe ones with the ripe berries. For $ 10 for half a tray I was left wishing there was a «pick your own» place around here. Would be so much less in cost and a great workout too!
Edited to add that the first two trips this year were great. However my third trip here, and they were half ripe. Todays berries were great but when I mentioned the last ones I bought, they lady got very huffy over it and tried to blame the weather for it. Um… no. The weather can affect the sweetness and size of the berries, but has NOTHING to do with the ripeness. Someone picked a bunch of the way to early and that’s all there is to that.
I accepted blame for buying them that way, but accept that someone picked them too early, and don’t get huffy with customers.

So happy they are open again! The strawberries are fresh and a great price. The best way to get your produce. I was looking at the supermarket today for fruits and they just looked terrible! Looking forward to all the summer fruits again.

Just bought some the other day. Not sure how they would taste at the first of the season. Let me just say… absolutely delicious! Going back for more this morning.

Welcome to my new favorite strawberry stand. This place is the current best of south county. The berries are so juicy and flavorful. The other veges are equally good and I will be returning to this place every time I hit the south county. It is a bit harder to find, as it is not on a main drag, but oh so worth it!

YEP! Not much to add to the great reviews already posted here. THE best strawberries around and nicely priced too. Picked fresh daily and you can see the workers right behind the fruit stand. I’d stop here again in a heartbeat.
Where’s the shipped cream? Well, they have that too along with shortbread, the gooey red syrupy stuff that you pour over the strawberries and shortbread cakes. They also sell some other locally grown fruit like peaches, nectarines, blueberries, raspberries (okay, so why is that «p» silent? Never understood that!) but the fresh and friendly girls behind the stand are mainly known for their strawberries and not their cherries. Whip it good! :)

I can’t say that I’ve ever had a «bad» strawberry in this region of California. I don’t see too much of a difference between this strawberry stand from any other strawberry stands apart from their strawberries being a tad more firm. Don’t get me wrong, strawberries from any stand up here are amazing, and the strawberries from here are no different. My favorite thing about this stand is that the strawberry field goes all the way up to the boarder of this stand, so you can see the strawberries still on the vine.
Service was polite and friendly, and I’ll definitely be back.

We were doing what we like to call the «Strawberry Trail» down the Hwy 1. A series of strawberry fields and little road stands in the Arroyo Grande/​Grover Beach area. This area and Santa Maria abound with some of the BEST strawberries in all of California. It’s the soil.
We have done this trip before, but this year Unilocal helped me find Okui’s, a little off the beaten track. We were a little early, as the locals said that April was when most stands open, but we were able to buy strawberries from the 3 stands we found open. Okui’s was by far the best.
Right now Okui’s is selling Albion strawberries, so sweet and big, the size of a baby’s fist. And this is still early in the season, when strawberries are still not at their best. A generous quart size is $ 4.
They are located out in the fields, surrounded by encroaching housing developments. Boooo. How sad. But still, the best strawberries ever. You will find a small shed, decorated with Whirligigs. They also sell seasonal fruits and veggies.
Mmmmm. Homemade strawberry shortcake. Mmmmm.
I may have to move here.
