Local technicians and quick service response. Friendly and knowledgeable customer service staff will always work with you on troubleshooting problems even when they are with your own equipment. You can ask for help with router wireless security and even take to their office to have it set up while you wait. They also have 24 hour tech support that can assist you during the local office closed time.

Unreliable, expensive $ 80/mo. Internet connection(can only watch 5 Netflix movies per month without going over limit according to the office ladies). They also take forever to fix their own outages. Tried their cable previously but the boxes had poor signal and were ancient. 24⁄7 tech service is a good idea and the people who answer are nice, but not able to help/solve issues or communicate with the home office who say they have no idea you have had issues. The most disappointing and worst part of Central Valley Cable’s service: an outrageously bad(even can be truly nasty!) attitude towards long-time customers from the folks who work there(the owner’s daughter and wife I guess, who one would think would care more about their customers). It is truly unbelievable… and sad. Want to love«going local» but not at the expense of being treated like a client. Other locals use Hughesnet, I think… I am changing to something else for sure…

CVC is trying hard but struggles to provide reliable service due to logistics of this rural area. Visitors expecting an urban internet experience will be disappointed. CVC has frequent outages and slow-downs. However, they always address these and also offer 24⁄7 phone support which is quite professional.

Right now I’m at my Sea Ranch house and there’s been no internet service for the past 12 hours and the cable tv, to the extent it is working, is worse than what you’d get with rabbit ears. And this is a typical day with Central Valley Cable service. I really wanted to stay with a local business, but the service is so unreliable(and expensive) that I’m now forced to go with either Dish or DirecTV/Verizon. It’s a shame.
