Overpriced. Food was soggy except for the free chips & salsa. The restaurant was clean and I enjoyed the Mexican music, but I didn’t like going outside to use the shopping center’s public bathroom. Our waiter spoke Spanish and couldn’t answer our questions about the menu items. The beans were from a can and the rice, chorizo, and tacos had no flavor. What I did like was the«free» nachos w/mild tasting salsa and my margarita.

Edible, but everything we had was bland. The beans were watery and flavorless. The tortilla had more flavor than the rest of my bean and cheese burrito. Some menu items noted that they are topped with parmesan cheese… huh? The chips were good.

I had dinner there last night and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I want to address some of the other posts. Yes, the salsa is a little watery but quite tasteful IMO. The chips are great. I love chips and prefer that they are not too salty nor too greasy so I can eat plenty of them. These were nice and light and of a fine flour which gave them a nice delicate texture. I ordered a veggie chimicanga, and enjoyed it, and the beans and rice were nice and tasty too. I liked that none of the food was over salted. Its more healthy that way, and there is a salt shaker on the table if you disagree. All in all, I can’t say this place is GREAT, coming from the bay area where there are so many mex places, but for a little town in N. CA. what can you expect? this isn’t AZ or NM. Also, I believe this is the only Mexican eatery in town that will serve a margarita. That said, it seems the staff didn’t know to wet the glass b4 dipping it in the salt. It had only a few grains around the rim. Other than that it was done well with good balance of ingredients. Not overdone with the sours. This place doesn’t really have a bar, thus no bartender, so I can understand the mistake of not knowing how to salt a glass.

Always a good meal here when I drive up the coast. Locally owned, staff is friendly, food is great. Highly recommend hitting it for mexican comfort food. I will return.

My girlfriend and I stopped here on our way back from a weekend escapade in Point Arena. I am not generally in the mood for Mexican food, but this time I was craving it and we were so happy to notice this place. We stopped for lunch and the staff was extremely nice and friendly. I ordered a blended banana margarita and it was amazing. The complimentary chips and salsa were really good. The chips were crispy and yummy and my favorite was the green salsa. We devoured this right away! For our entrees we got the burrito with veggies and the chimichanga and enchilada combination. They were delicious and flavorful. When the check arrived we also received a free little dessert, which was really nice! We totally recommend the place!

WOW! this place was amazing!!! Have to try the shrimp stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon with sauce poured over!!! So good! They have pitchers of maragritas at the ready! I make sure to get dinner here while im staying at salt point. Menudo is also great! Prices are fair.

As many people have said, not just the worse Mexican restaurant I’ve ever eaten at but the worse restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. I could make far better Mexican myself with store bought ingredients. The chips and salsa has zero flavour. I ordered the Flautas which appeared to be just some kind of fried puff pastry with boiled slimy chicken thighs inside, chopped into 4 pieces. No other ingredients inside. The rice and beans were just awful. Stay far far away.

We gave Mariachi a whirl for lunch but can’t say we will be rushing back. For the record, this is one of four Mexican choices in the immediate area and is possibly worst. Laura’s has the best food and prices. Antonio’s is pricier but has salsa bar. The joint in the shopping mall is just sort of lunch burritos but the dessert offerings are pretty good. We had the taco plate and pollo tostada. Tacos were unremarkable and minimal meat. Tostado was a huge deep fried taco bowl(tasty!) with a bit of meat in the bottom and some ice cold lettuce on top. Not much flavor. We tried horchata but was very watery. Salsas were also watery. Chips were ok. $ 30 for lunch, including service with no smile whatsoever. Hmmmm.

I love Mexican food, and I wanted to love Miriachi’s. It’s a little place in a strip mall on Highway 1, but once you get inside, you forget that. It’s colorful, friendly, and fun. The staff is nice, and the drinks were good. But then the food arrived. The chips were fresh and crisp, but sadly tasteless. The ‘salsa’ was thin and watery.(My wife described it as canned tomato soup). The food was goopy and flavorless. I really can’t think of anything good to say about it.

Mariachi’s is a very simple, basic, family owned Mexican restaurant that severs consistently good quality Mexican dishes. My wife and I eat there on a regular basis. Prices are fair, food quality very good Chips salsas(green and red) and xlnt huevos rancheros. When friends visit the area, we make sure to have at least on meal there If a person is looking for upscale entertainment, this isnt the place for them. If they are looking for real quality Mexican dishes, they should enjoy Jose and his family plus the food they serve Mr Ray Polson Mrs Pauline Polson

Tried to have lunch at Mariachi’s on Saturday. It was 11:15 am, sign showed they were opened, however chairs were still on top of the tables, and the door was locked. I like this place, we come here when we are in the area, however I was extremely disappointed that we waited for 25 minutes for them to open. Called and they said they were opened at 11:00 — door was still locked. Too bad, we took our business to Antionio’s Taco — good place!

By far the worst restaurant(Mexican or otherwise) I have ever been to. You will find more authentic Mexican food at Taco Bell! I ordered simple nachos and they failed to even make them good. Meat, which was supposed to be ground beef, was some kind of mushy mess. There were also several ingredients(that were listed on their menu) left off. I know better than to complain at a restaurant though so I didn’t say a word. I also ordered a «Chavela» and the waiter didn’t have a clue what it was… seriously??? My parents both got burritos, and both got food poisoning. Needless to say I will never go back here, and hopefully you read my review before you do.

I won’t return… We stopped in while doing some laundry across the street for lunch — the server was nice, the restaurant on the clean side, but the food was blah. I had a cheese enchilada, beef taco, rice, beans and a margarita — all of it was just bland and nothing really had much flavor. Two of the six in our group ended up with food poisoning — one from chicken tacos and one from a beef burrito, so not sure what happened there, but def won’t go back.

I didn’t expect greatness when I stopped for lunch yesterday on my motorcycle adventure up the coast… Saw this little place and figured I’d give it a try. Chips were thick, but fresh and good. Salsa was good too. I had the Chili Colorado burrito, which came with rice and beans… The beans were nasty… runny and not good at all. rice was typical. The burrito itself was pretty good. had good flavor. on the smallish side, though, which was OK. Overall, it was a decent meal. Bathroom was spotless and smelled like bleach. YAY.

We have been here several times. I love this place. The chips and salsa are amazing and plentiful. The combo plates are delicious. Great tostadas. The big margarita is made with wine rather than tequila, and it’s very yummy(they only have a beer and wine license, no liquor). We are very fortunate to have a local place like this. Five very enthusiastic stars!

Tortillas as thick as crepes. A carne asada burrito that came with enchilada sauce on the side just to keep the dust dry beef inside from sticking in your throat. Beans and rice from the bottom shelf of a cut-price grocery store. The chips were about 10 seconds away from being burned to a crisp. Our to-go order took forever — about 25 minutes for two of these 1-star meals. If I were at home and had half of the standard ingredients I could have done better in the same amount of time and I am not known for cooking Mexican food. I guess you feel like it’s okay to let the food and service slide right over the seaside cliff when you’re the only Mexican place in town(population 170). Do yourself a big favor. .. . drive into Gualala proper and eat at the BBQ joint.

i enjoyed my little weekend get away, so much that I cheated on my diet. in the end i felt bad, however it was well worth it I will never forget the the chimichanga desert filled with peaches and choclate! i had to run eleven miles just to burn it off. i would do it again. there was no cell phone reception around there, so the staff gave me the wi fi pass code so i could get my Unilocal on…

This place have a very nice atmosphere; the tables and chairs are awesome. The servers are friendly and it isn’t too crowded. However, the food is not that great. They put celery in my veggie chimichanga! What the gross! They also seem to be out of a decent amount of their menu items depending on what day/what time you go in. I went here more than once and was not impressed either time. There aren’t many options in this area, but I would definitely try a different taqueria(of which there are several) next time.

This is a whole in the wall someone recommended while we were driving up the coast. I have to say the Mexican food was better than any I’ve had in the last 10+ years in Sacramento. I would recommend this place to a friend.
