When I walk into Swish on the Guilford green the first thing that stands out to me is how beautifully curated the store is. One of the major designers they carry is Michael Stars along with other cute trendy clothes. However, what made me love Swish was their accessories collection. They have them displayed on a big table by the center of the store just before the register. It’s a great place to find a gift for a girl friend. I am OBSESSED with their Zacasha accessories. Like the lady at the shop told me «tassel are huge right now,» totally correct. I’ve been chasing down tassel necklaces on the shoreline and online. However, Zacasha doesn’t sell online so getting them here is a huge convenience. Absolutely a huge range of colors, it makes it truly difficult to decide on one. I bought a bracelet from them not too long ago and unfortunately the tassel unraveled but they were so kind at Swish about it they were able to fix my broken heart with a new bracelet. I ended up buying a necklace too. I might end up coming here everyday on my lunch break just to pick out a new accessory(or another tassel necklace). They are just too cute! Love this shop.

Swish is my go-to place in Guilford to get amazing jewelry at great prices! I also love that they have basic staples for your wardrobe that are great quality. What I gave 2 stars for is customer service. Literally every time I walk in I have to be the first one to say«hello» and greet the person behind the counter. Shouldn’t I be the one who is greeted?! I go into Swish a few times a month just to look around, and buy gifts(usually the jewelry) for friends. I have had a gift card for there since Christmas, however because I am not even acknowledged when I walk in I refuse to use it. Which is too bad, because when I went in today there were a few items I wanted! Fingers crossed for next time…

I’ve shopped at Swish for a long time with great success but recently things have changed. The inventory is not as organized and the customer service, on the two occasions I’ve been in the store over the past month, has been distracted. Disinterested, really, and I was the only person in the store both times. The clerk — moved from Swish’s now-closed Branford location — was vacuuming and organizing. Clothes seemed more like unfitted, flax offerings rather than the Michael Stars and Velvet lines I was accustomed to seeing. It is cluttered. I won’t be going back any time soon. In fact, I was so put off by the lack of care or service that I thought, hmm, maybe shopping on Zappos is easier!

Cute little store in downtown guilford on the green. It has a prety good selection or Michael Stars clothing. Also carries brands like velvet and sanctuary. Tends to be a little higher end and cater to a 30+ crowd, but all ages can find something… especially in the accessories. They have a variety of trendy costume jewelry and beautiful scarves. the store is very well organized, not clogged with items. And there is a generously sized dressing room. Defintely a neat little store and worth stopping in to!

On the Guilford Green, so we dash in and out of here every year for post Christmas shopping. It tends towards a more mature crowd of ladies — so great when shopping for your mom. You know cashmere, costume jewelry, scarfs, and pant suits in black/grey/white. Michael refers to it as a ‘spacious walk in closet in a mansion.’ It’s clean and I would opt for the fitting room in front as no one wants to see what’s behind the curtain, Dorothy.
