Health Nuts is a piece of San Francisco in Gulfport and it’s really unfortunate that the only time I actually stepped foot in this shop would be 2 days before we leave.
It is a small store but it has a lot of different things.
So Delicious Yogurt
Tofutti Sour Cream and Cream Cheese
DAVE’S KILLER BREAD — so bomb!
Go Raw snacks
Probiotics and Supplements up the ying yang
Small amount of produce — more of fruits
Vegan mayo
Tempeh
Almond/​Soy Milk
Almond Butter
And that’s just to name a few.
They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian items. I really hope this store does well here! It is exactly what Mississippi needs without having to head out to Whole Foods in Mobile.
I recommend this store over and over again!

They have a lot of great stuff and cool finds. I do wish they had more veggies. They’re pretty over-​priced, but there’s not many other places near by that sell as much organic items. The owners are nice and care about the quality of their products!

Check expiration dates. Just gave my baby Earth’s Best baby food and it expired in March, 4 months ago! No wonder he didn’t want to eat it! The date was covered by their price sticker.

Cute little place! Great selection of stuff. I originally came for tempeh but left with that plus a couple of drinks (try the Synergy cherry chia beverage — it’s a little weird but so good!) and some gum. I also had my eye on the Quorn chik’n cutlets with goat cheese and cranberry — they look amazing! Staff were friendly and helpful, glad this place is here!

Mr. & Mrs. Pitalo got a four-​star vote from me for these reasons:
They could utilize their space better with a little innovation, but the products they do have are pretty great. They’ve got a few things that are otherwise unavailable in this area.
Their prices are about 30% inflated. That’s a real number based on a product that I saw there that I frequently purchase at a few other places.
We met Mr. Pitalo on our visit there, and he’s incredibly pleasant. Just because of the customer service aspect, we will be back again for certain products.
