Delicious! Worth the drive! Eclectic. Great patio atmosphere. Excellent service. Had one of their house IPA’s. Very nice!

As we were strolling around Gulfport we were immediately drawn to Peg’s garden seating and patio, and the cool little logo above the entrance. First impressions count! Once inside, we learned that they brew their own beers, which pretty much confirmed we had found our spot. Hubby got something IPA-ish and I had a sour — both were great. The real star of our lunch, however, was the crab quesadilla — it was *brimming* with crab meat, and when topped with the guac we ordered on the side, it was out of this world. The fish tacos were quite tasty as well, and the beans and rice that came as sides were spot on — the black beans were smokey abs spicy, not your usual refried pinto goo, and the yellow rice was moist and yum. The servers were nice and laid back. Just a perfect way to start our visit to the area.

I’m torn on giving this place 3 or 4 stars. Maybe it was because I had higher expectations for this place. The good: This place is very cute and eclectic! Just like many places in Gulfport, it’s a small place that’s tucked away. The ambiance is great. They have outdoor seating out front, a small bar area inside and then a covered patio in the back. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and personable. The a-ok part. The food was just meh. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything I would have to go back and visit again for. We started off with the chips, salsa and guacamole. The salsa was pretty good, but the portion was pretty small to split between two. For my entrée I went with the pork burrito. It was good, but again nothing to rant or rave about. The other downfall… no margaritas. Or any liquor of that matter. But on a plus note, the do have quite a selection of their own craft beers.(I had one of their porters which was pretty good)

Such a great little spot in Gulfport. The décor is whimsical and they have a great outdoor space which is enhanced by plenty of plants and trees. I’m not much of a beer drinker but their beer is pretty good and they have a nice variety. The food is great! I was able to taste the Crab Quesadilla and the Chicken curry tacos which were very good! Also received a free chips and salsa(with guac) with a Unilocal Check-in. Overall, this is a great spot with really good food and friendly service.

Very chill place in the small, quaint town of Gulfport. Lots of bright colors, very chill, ultra relaxed area. Quiet, beautiful. Peg’s is hidden inside a small forest and garden. Exquisite outdoor garden patio. Butterflies, birds, lizards. Bring mosquito repellant! Staff was quick, smart, kind, and knowledgeable. Food is outstanding. Delicious, spicy, fresh and bright. Inventive. Beers are world class coming from the Peg’s Cantina spin-off Cycle Brewing. Amazing stouts, porters, IPAs, and Berliner Weisses. Definitely a must go to place in Florida for beer. Certainly worth the jaunt all the way out here.

Very chill spot with a cool ambiance, great food and good service. I had great local Cycle Brewing ales and the chicken curry tacos with black beans and rice. Excellent tacos; not too spicy.

Stumbled upon this great little spot while exploring Gulfport over the weekend. The lush garden out front drew us in, in addition to the menu posted outside. Burritos, pizzas and TACOS?! Yes please. We were sat in an outdoor area that was on an enclosed deck. Décor was warm and inviting, while also eclectic. Beautiful mosaic tables, lace curtains and tasteful lamps — all overlooking the aforementioned garden. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and I enjoyed tasting beers on tap. Guacamole was tasty, could use a little more heat? We also tried the pork taco appetizer… unfortunately bland. I had the chicken curry tacos which had the burst of flavor one hopes for in tacos. Really tasty and not overwhelming with the turmeric. Would love to come back and try more off the menu!

I wrote a glowing review about this place a number of years ago, and feel it needs to be updated. There was a time back in the day when we frequented this place somewhat regularly. The menu leaned more towards Tex-Mex and pizzas, the wide variety of beers was awesome, and the service was personable, attentive and fun. There used to be a turntable with hundreds of old vinyl records that you can pick from. It was a great funky little place to while away the evening. So after an extended hiatus, I was eager to see what’s new with Pegs. It’s still a nice little place with a certain ambiance, but a lot of things that made it really cool have apparently evaporated a long time ago. The service was slow, unorganized and seemed disinterested in the guests or their own offerings. The chicken burrito was okay but overpriced for what it was. The beers were all about the hops, like every other microbrewery seems to obsess over these days. The variety of brews appears to have dwindled significantly. If I have to narrow it down to a word that sums up my impression of the place now, it would have to be **complacency**. For the first time in a long time I debated whether I should even give the server a basic 15% tip for our bloated bill. I left feeling disappointed and bummed about what used to be a great place with a ton of potential.

Went here for the first time for an early evening dinner in the gorgeous neighborhood of downtown Gulfport. First off, when you walk into this place, you enter a beautiful garden with seating. Beyond that is a nicely done, renovated house with a Mexican casual themed bar on the inside. There is also seating around the side porch/patio area. We ended up being seated in the front garden. The menu is Mexican inspired(As shown in my photos). They have several beers on tap of which a few of them they brew themselves. I had a very refreshing, delicious tangerine wheat beer which I highly recommend! I had their chicken burrito and it was good! The wait staff was friendly and informative if you have any questions to ask them. I enjoyed the experience and hope to come back and try their other menu items.

Pegs has been a mandatory stop each time I visit my dad in St. Pete. Whether coming by for a couple of craft beers or to sit out on the relaxing patio for a full meal, I have never been disappointed with my experience at Pegs. If in the Gulfport area, I highly recommend swinging by Pegs. Upon walking up to pegs there is a very nice and relaxing garden area that is great for dining in the evenings or cool afternoons. There are several tables outside, and they are able to accommodate for larger groups. Inside is a cozy bar area seating 10 – 12 people and some additional inside seating. While I always enjoy taking a seat at the bar for a beer, I recommend eating outside if you are going for a full meal. Bartenders are usually very friendly and I have met some interesting people around the bar area. The food is a tex-mex based menu with several different taco choices(mahi, beef, chicken curry), burrito, quesadilla and pizza options. I have always been happy with the mahi tacos or burrito options. Service is also friendly, though the food can take longer than average to prepare when they get really busy… But that allows more time for beers. They carry 3 – 5 cycle brewing beers on draft along with 3 – 6 other options. I have always been impressed with their draft beer selection which always has something interesting that I have not tried. They have a somewhat extensive bottle list but I generally stick to the drafts. Pegs is definitely with checking out for a good beer after walking around Gulfport or for some tex-mex cuisine while relaxing in the garden area with friends and family. Five stars for sure!

Started with happy hour… excellent dark Cycle Beer and lovley wine, then stayed for the food, just like many others customers. Peg was charming and very attentive to customers. The place is an eco restaurant… recycled cutlery, no credit cards, fresh local food… all to make life simple and clean. Enjoyed the kale salad with avocado ranch dressing and the guacamole and salsa with chips. Will return for a full meal.

We went to Peg’s just once when we were visiting St. Pete a few weeks ago, but it’s one of those places that I would be a total regular at if I lived in the area. The atmosphere is great– they have beautiful outdoor space with a deck area that you can eat on that has beautiful lights at night. It was a pretty romantic atmosphere, I felt like hubby and I were on a date. The beer selection was wonderful– we had a handful of different beers from Cycle. The food was excellent. The crab cakes were phenomenal. We also got hummus, cheese, and a few other small plates. I got a chocolate pudding type dessert that was out of this world. Our server was excellent. He was pulling double duty as waiter and bartender but you would have never known that. He was very knowledgable on all of their beers and made great food recommendations too. Can’t wait to go back. Great job Peg’s!

You guys!!! This place is AWESOME! You don’t know how lucky you are to have a little place like this in your neck of the woods. We came here on the recommendation of a co-worker &OMG so glad we did. This place is like a Mexican Catina but with a real cool twist since they also have tapas & the chef is Portuguese so the tapas are really authentic. On the night we went, I had this amazing butternut squash soup that just thinking about it now is making my mouth water.(I told you it was mex w/a twist). I also ordered the grilled asparagus which comes with a friend egg & this is a dish I have to steal to make at home now. And their beet salad was totally yummy! So yes folks, I went to a «Mexican Catina» & I was able to eat low carb & eat really GOODFOOD! I was so satisfied & I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My friends had an amazing assortment of all these beers & they were in heaven with their food as well. Also, like other tips or reviewers have mentioned, when you check in here you get free chips & salsa but it also comes with guacamole and the chips were still hot! So good!!! Also, quick note about the environment & service. Seriously, this place just ROCKS! Everything is perfect. You will thank me once you go. I can not recommend it enough. Enjoy!

I wanted to give it a 3 star for my update, but I can’t… People don’t like change and going to one of your favorite Spanish style Cantinas you hate to find out that the whole entire menu has completely changed since the last 3 times you have been there within the last 6 weeks. I love Pegs for many other reasons… But it’s always been for the beer and food. It is no longer a Cantina and more Mediterranean now. I was not happy when we got there and had to order stuff that was Spanish. But not surprisingly it was good and full of flavor! My fiancé had the crab cake quesadillas and I got the something shrimp. I can not remember the name. It is made with Turkish seasonings. It will say that in the description. Food was amazing! Full or flavor and simply delicious. We also got the chips, salsa, guac… Ya guys no more of the 3 different dips. So sad! The quac was super good and I didn’t care for the the salsa… Manchego cheese apps. Good, better the first time I went tho… They will figure it all out. All in all… It was still great food. Loved it too pieces. Change stinks and I still wish Pegs was a Cantina. Maybe they will change it back if they see it has hurt them too much… I’ll be back of course

The craft beer selection is quite impressive. I grew quite fond of Granny Gear and totally recommend it. Words cannot describe how delicious the braised chicken tacos were. I got lost while eating. It was the exact combination of braised chicken, salsa verde and cucumbers. I have never tasted anything like it. I also tried the braised beef and it was outstanding but not like the braised chicken which blew me away! This unique establishment is clean and you cant beat the service ! Ps Allison waited on us and she was amazing!

If your looking for a place with a pretty chill vibe this is the place for you. Pegs is located the the cool quaint town of Gulfport. Pegs fits into Gulfport with it’s adorable craft man’s house pub. I love they way this place is set up… super cute. Ok on to the food and brew. Unfortunatly I’ve never been wowed on either front. The food is average, nothing I’ve ever eaten there jumps out at me as a much have item or omg you have to go to Peg’s for… There beer is Cycle breweries beer, this is where cycle started. There is a beer or two that I can drink. I think many of their beers are very hop forward and not being a fan of a lot of hops there are not many beers here I enjoy. The one beer that sticks out in my mind that was pretty good, was the rye red ale but on my last visit they didn’t have it. There is another one but the name has escaped me. Next time I’m there I’ll be sure to update this review with the name of it. It’s one of stops on a pub bike ride so I’m sure I’ll be back.

Arrived and sat outside on a gorgeous day in the front garden. Our server Genesis was lovely. When checking in we were notified that we received free chips and salsa– and it was refillable which comes with three different dips. The flavors were very nice and spicy! Guac, chipotle and pico all fresh. We ordered the chicken quesadilla. They came with pico and sour cream! They were delicious and full of chicken, spinach and cheese! We enjoyed a light lunch on a beautiful day! We will be back!
