I have been here twice while traveling through. Both times I have received excellent service. Staff was friendly, food was quick to come out and tasted great. No complaints here!

The experience was pretty bad– the water here tastes so bad you probably won’t be able to drink the tea and may not be able to handle the Coke. We were looking forward to that Del Taco experience toward the end of our drive from LA, and I think our expectations were set at the proper level for a gas station Del Taco. The cashier was reasonably attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. After hunting a little, we were able to find a clean table. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t much better than the drinks: the fries tasted old and too salty. The tacos had no taste(unless you use liberal amounts of hot sauce). The bean burrito just wasn’t very good. Most of our meal went into the trash.

I am appalled at the customer service at this Del Taco. I will admit that the woman helping us was extremely nice and accommodating while we ordered our seven layer veggie burrito. She agreed to make sure there was no cheese and sour cream.(My girlfriend and I are extremely allergic to dairy). We scanned our food to ensure it was made to perfection, but to our dismay there was sour cream in BOTH burritos. We then kindly asked her to take it off and she seemed irritated at our request and it took about 20 minutes to make two more burritos. The food was good in the end, but as stated above, the customer service was TERRIBLE. Please Del Taco make sure to get the orders right when the customers ask for specific requests.

Dirty and in need of repair. Food was okay, but the dining room was filthy and needing repair. No one had done a lobby check in a while. Tables were DIRTY, floor needed to be swept. The walls were dirty and the paneling was dinged up in many places and was missing in other places. The garbage cans had veneer missing. Really run down looking restaurant. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, so sweeping and wiping tables would not have made anyone have to wait any longer for food. I get that it was the 4th of July weekend, but that doesn’t excuse not sweeping and wiping tables. Dirty is not okay. Neither is that level of disrepair.

Worst Del Taco experience ever. 18 minutes in the drive through and they still couldn’t manage to get our order right. Staff don’t know the Del Taco definition of «deluxe» and apparently«no rice’ is complicated. They also don’t know the difference between a turkey tostada and a turkey salad. I could deal with the fact the drive thru speaker didn’t work and you had to order at the window. …but 18 minutes on top of incompetence. …inexcusable!

Got food here which was warm… not hot. When we took a sip of our drink it had a very funny taste. We asked if they could try the machine behind the counter and we were told that it taste funny because of their water supply… ummmm? There has to be rules against that… think I’ll pass.

A few buddies and I were returning from Lake Tahoe from a snowboarding trip and we were craving Del Taco. Let’s face it, this place is next to a gas station at Love’s. The place is sketchy with the bikers and truckers coming in and out. There’s even a place to shower here for a small fee… and it probably has a Gloryhole. The chicken soft tacos weren’t really soft and somewhat hard but overall the food is okay but maybe that’s because it’s in the middle of butt fucked Egypt.

If you like Fox News, you’ll love this right-leaning branch of Del Taco that shows FN on their flat screen.

It’s a Del Taco. Attached to a gas station. I went inside to stretch and walk around. Decided to order a taco to keep the sugar flowing on my long road trip. It was good. Really? Do you expect more from a Del Taco at a travel stop in the(seemingly) middle of nowhere? If you were expecting the best that ever was, I’m sorry to disappoint, but if you don’t go in expecting the Ritz, you’ll be good to go.

Says open 24 hours, but went to the drive through and waited there for 3 minutes or so. Gave up getting an answer. Went directly to the window and waited another 3 minutes. Honked twice and still no answer. No employees or management around at all. Someone is definitely ditching their job.

Could not give even a star on this. Ordering one item and couldn’t do it. Assistant Manager Robert or roberto was rude and cannot correct employee. I ordered a strawberry lemonade. After she asked manager how to make it. Another 15 seconds she asked me again«ice tea or lemonade». Really!’ Cant get an order right. Poor managers and poor handling.

One of my guilty pleasures is to eat their deluxe taco salads. I LOVE how this location has each of their hot sauces in the large pumps!!! I thought that was funny.

Cute Del Taco Employee — w4w —(Gustine) Your name tag said«Letty» but I don’t think that’s a real name. I drove through the drive through twice. The second time I was wearing a hat. You laughed, but you didn’t like, make a big deal about it. I really liked that. I thought we might have had something except I said NOSOURCREAM, Letty. JESUS. two stars.

We stopped here on our way back to LA from Napa. This was one of the only places for miles to come, so we needed fuel for our car and our bodies. I know this is not the best thing to eat and I usually don’t like fast food to begin with, but Del Taco anytime is good. It reminds me of college years and needing a midnight snack to keep us going through midterms and finals. As for this Del Taco in particular, it is one of the biggest Del Tacos I’ve ever been to! They even have a play area for kids! The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bathroom(shared with the gas station) is disgusting! I know it’s a gas station and fast food joint but there can be some sanitation!

They make good churros here for only 99 cents. Pretty cool for the most part. Located inside the Love’s station. A weird thing though is that they put their hot sauces in a small cup on each table instead of a big bin with the other condiments. An annoying thing is that you have to ask the cashier for more napkins. They don’t put those out in the open. Buenos churros!

I think this is the first Del Taco I have eaten in, as best I can recall. And I picked Gustine, California? Where the hell is Gustine? Well, it is right next to Santa Nella. And the Korean War memorial. No kidding. Didn’t have time to check that out, but should have done it. It wasn’t obviously sticking out amidst the fast food and gasoline signs, or I would have jumped in to take a look. This is off highway I-5 when you are tripping down the great San Joaquin valley, most likely on your way between LA and SF or Sacto. It is part of the Love’s travel stop center, and near the Del Oro Hotel, just off the interstate.(The Del Oro has a great old Spanish California mission appearance) and there is a Danish windmill nearby which locates Andersen’s famous Pea Soup, you know, like the main one down in Buellton, near San Luis Obispo and Solvang. Not haveing time to hit those interesting tourist spots here in the thriving metroplois of Gustine, we chose Del Taco for a road trip snack. They have some unusual items not found at Taco Hell or other chains. Like deep fried Jalapeño rings. And fish tacos. (Is the plural of Taco spelled Tacoes, or Tacos?) And they also have every hispanic county fair attendee in California, Texas and Arizona(and New Mexico, and parts of Colorado, and it is spreading) favorite dessert… Churros! Yup, 99 cent churros. Not the long ones at the county fair(or Sea World, Six Flags, etc… they’re popping up everywhere now!) for $ 3, but the same deep fried dough and sugar on about half the length. I think I will«run FROM the border» and Taco Hell and try another Del Taco in the future.

When you’re making a five hour road trip from LA to the Bay, not all of your food choices are going to be wise ones. I was making a late night return to the Bay, pulled off to get some petrol, and made the mistake of walking into this Del Taco. Yeah, the one next to Pea Soup Anderson’s, you know the one I’m talking about. It’s about one in the morning. Del is empty with the exception of two employees. One who is lolly-gagging at the counter oblivious of customers, and the other who has just finished mopping the kitchen floor and who is now shoving her ungloved(and fresh from mopping) hands into a five gallon drum of jalapenos. A couple guys walk in behind me as I’m perusing the menu… I grab the cashier’s attention and proceed to order. Me: Yeah, I’ll take the #4 combo with a Coke. Her: Chicken soft taco combo? The chicken is extra. Me: I’m sorry, what? Her: Chicken is extra. Me: Ummm… what do you mean extra? It’s called a chicken soft taco combo right? Her: Chicken is extra. Me: [aggravated] LOOKATTHEMENU, IT’S A PICTUREOF A CHICKENSOFTTACO. Her: [blank look on her face] Chicken is extra. Do you want it or not? Guys behind me: Excuse me, uh… we’re not with him!

If you’re coming from southern cali to northern cali or vice versa and tell yourself you next pit stop will be a Del Taco… take note that it’s in GUSTINE, also Santa Nella, basically stop when you see Pea Soup Anderson’s. It’s just nice to go to familiar places when on road trips with friends. Del Taco is basically the same everywhere you go. Many times we spent here laughing a storm up in the early/late hours… disturbing the workers… and other travelers. Worth it.
