I had a gel nail but after 4 days starting peeling off! The price is average, but won’t go there again

There are not much nail place options in City of Industry so I decided to give this place a try because of its great review. My appointment was 12:30pm and I arrived around 12:20pm in case it gets crowded during lunch hour. There were only two customers there when I arrived. I had to wait for 15 minutes for my pedicure and I regretted to be on-​time. I got a nice oil massage for pedicure. However, one thing concerns me is that they were using those nail file to flatten the skin of my feet. That was def what I expected. I had been to so many pedicure places and I can tell pedicure skills here were not as professional as I expected. However, both of the nail artists are super friendly so I would give them 3 stars. Prob will not come back here though. Pedicure is $ 17 which is average price.

Diane is super sweet. I use to tan here for medical reasons but I stopped a while ago. They are always super friendly. So fast forward, I wanted to get my nails done for a special occasion and originally found Tan and Nails through Unilocal and saw the lovely reviews and pictures from Diane’s work. I made an appointment but was running late but she was super understanding. While I was there, there were customers coming in and out for services and you could tell they were regulars and they all left happy. I was actually surprised at how friendly everyone was. I would maybe suggest making an appointment because they can get busy and it’s a family owned business so they are usually a 2-​man team which I think is admirable. It was $ 30 for my new set of acrylic french tip with gel overlay. I was originally going to remove them once they grew out but I’m going to go back and get them filled instead. Super excited to be able to visit Diane again!

I usually don’t write reviews but the owner was just too adorable and happy! I went in for a gel mani but she even fixed my broken nail for free. Only charged me 20 but gave her 30.

They were so amazing it was only two ladies but as soon I walk in they ask what I need I said do they offer gel nails and they said yea and she sat me down and I pick out the color and she was really fast and very talkative I love the color I pick and she said it might a need a 3^rd coat since it was light and she said it would look brighter and more solid color and I was very happy I would drive to get my nails done by this place and the price wasn’t bad either 20 for gel nails

Diane is a miracle worker! I’m actually a bit bummed that I finally found a nail lady but I have to drive to hacienda heights to see her…
She’s way better than any of the more expensive, fancy nail salons we have in Irvine. Her salon is small but don’t let the décor fool you. She is so good at what she does. I’ve gotten acrylics at a lot of different places and this is the first time I’ve ever been 100% happy with how they turned out… Id take a picture but my fingers are really ugly = /​… The nails are the only thing making my fingers look decent. She didn’t even judge me for being a nail biter which other salons not so subtly do.
She’s super sweet and chatty (her English is great!) without being pushy like the other salons. I’m comfortable talking to her and she didn’t try to upsell me anything. She is genuine and kind and she can do a really good job while talking! She is way worth the 40 min drive!

Had a great first experience for a pedicure will definitely be coming back! They are great at accommodating your needs and will take you in even if they are super busy

I came here for underarm waxing because I was meeting a friend for dinner in the area. The place I usually go to is in Upland and that was too far at the time, so I said sure why not give this place a shot. People gave this place amazing reviews. Plus it’s hard to mess up waxing underarms right?
I called before hand and asked if I can come in 20 mins. They said okay and told me the price was $ 10. I found this place pretty easily. Parking was not a problem. I walked inside and there were 2 ladies working and a man sitting inside reading a magazine. I thought I would have to wait long since everyone was preoccupied with a client, but I didn’t wait that long at all. 2 mins max.
This nice lady told me to go in the back room. When I walked in there, I immediately felt sort of uncomfortable. The room was small and sort of cluttered. There were spiderwebs and dust around. The bed that she had me lay on felt kind of whimsy. Honestly, I don’t really care how the inside of the room looks. All I cared about was the waxing experience.
I’ve been waxing my underarms since December 2014 so I had my fair share of waxing experiences. I get it done twice a month.
So I lifted my arms up for her to see. She exclaimed they were kind of short but she’ll try her best to get each and every hair out. I said okay good.
Here is what I was not okay with:
(1) Stretching the skin is normal but she stretched it to where it actually hurt
(2) She told me to help her hold my skin down, which I don’t mind, but she got wax on my nails
(3) When she moved on to the other arm, she left the first one really sticky
(4) Instead of putting the baby powder on a napkin/​cotton pad, she directly put it on my arm causing it to get on my fingers (cause she told me to hold down my skin)
I bled a little but that is normal too since I used to shave my underarms so my hair follicles are thicker than normal. The lady gave me some advice that my main waxing lady usually gives me. «DO NOT SHAVE. THE MORE YOU WAX THE THINNER YOUR HAIR WILL BE.» She also told me that if I go back to her she will make sure to get rid of the black dots. I just politely nodded and smiled. I mean she is a nice lady.
Anyways, to cut the story short. I got this waxing done Thursday, June 18 @ 6pm. Today is June 24^th. I actually noticed this yesterday, June 23^rd that the hair is growing back and it seems to be growing out thick again because even though it is not super long, the stubbles are noticeable, 5 feet noticeable. It hasn’t even been a week yet and I notice it growing back.
Usually I would notice it growing back after a week and definitely not this thick but not this time. I don’t know what went wrong, but yeah that was my experience.
Sorry to say, but I would not want to go back to that nail place for waxing even if it is $ 2 cheaper than most places.

came here for the first time this past Saturday I cant wait to come again! we first went to forever21 nail salon but they made us wait a very long time, and theres only one woman doing nails. their décor also made me want to look for another salon. SO glad I did!
tan and nail salon has friendly service and their décor looked more nail salon appropriate. the massage chairs are a huge plus. our appointment was at 5 but didn’t end up leaving until 7 1 hour after closing time. Diana didn’t seem to mind and didn’t want t0 leave until she finished perfectly. her husband seemed annoyed and antsy but its okay I don’t blame him.
also 3 min away from my house! I love this place. my pedicure was sooo relaxing. cant wait to come back. I actually want to come in for a tan next time around.
