Excellent service!!! I had to call in the night before at the last minute to order two rotisserie chicken(Pollo a la braza). I was hosting a lunch and relieved to know that it would be ready the next day when I needed them. Chicken was ready on time, juicy and delicious and my guests loved it. The salsa verde was on point.

I received 2 pcs of chicken and a plate full of tostones. Chicken was so tender and juicy, I ate both pcs and licked my fingers. Tostones were super fresh not frozen and delicious. But the sauce was out of this world, thank god I knew from my meeting with owner I can purchase separately. It’s flavor leaves you wondering what’s in there and I must have more. If you see my picture of my plate, I kid you not I ate the entire platter. It definitely wasn’t a normal serving. I normally don’t eat the entire serving unless it’s absolutely a must.

This place is awesome! Food is fast and great! Owner is a nice guy! I am not much into spicy foods, but their special sauce they use is phenomenal! I recommend very much!

House music blaring from a staticky radio while a Spanish soap opera competes to be heard do not make for a pleasant place to eat lunch. The roast chicken, Peruvian rice, and spicy mayonnaisey mystery sauce were all delicious, but how’s a gal supposed to digest with all that racket?

Food was delish! We’ve been living in the area for about a year and didnt know many locations that serve great Peruvian nearby, so finding this location makes us happy. I had the rotisserie chicken and yucca fries, which I definitely recommend!!! Our group shared a Causa de Pollo and Papa la huancaina to start. It was great portioned and definitely filling that once our entrees came, we were already feeling full. This place definitely deserves some great reviews. We’ll definitely be back!

I have to give this two stars. Based on the other positive reviews, this might be a great restaurant, but for those that are truly seeking the fine cuisine that Peruvian food is well known for even if not for the fish specialties, just the well known typical Peruvian menu de fare, this is not the place for you. Before dining here, we looked at the menu did not see what we would have liked and while we explained in detail, it almost seemed like the foods were either very limited to what is on the menu or possibly pre-prepared in some form. Chicha morada is a great beverage when properly made but when ordered and you receive in a bottle, you are not experiencing the alma of Peru. while I have been there many times, and have eaten in restaurants from just a hole in the wall to 5 star, I tried to allow some latitude here. Obviously, this is one restaurant I cannot recommend, especially if they bill themselves as Peruvian. Sorry guys, me da pena.

We uncovered one of the best restaurants in Hackensack. We tried 3 dishes and all are excellent. Highly recommended. We will be back to try out the other dishes. 1. Jalea Especial — fried seafood with onion, tomato and cassava. Dish has combination of fried squid(calamari), fish, shrimp and other seafood. 2. Ceviche de Maricos — raw assorted seafood with onion, cilantro, lime juice, fried corn on the side(They also have Ceviche with Fish only). Somebody posted a picture in this link(second picture) — 3. We also ordered another assorted seafood dish and I forgot to write down the name. It has mussels, clams, shrimps, fish in white sauce. To top all of these, they have 2 exotic condiments — one is blended jalapeño sauce and the other one is a creamy aji sauce with a touch of spice, yummy! I usually ask for extra aji sauce. Haven’t found another Peruvian place with such excellent sauce.

The pollo a la brasa tasted like it was reheated from the morning and the chaufa was salty… I was hoping for better

This place can make some good rotisserie chicken“pollo a la brasa”. I’ve been back to this place to get pollo a la brasa. However, noticed how I said to get it not eat it there. Ambience: Dead, don’t waste your time eating here. It’ll make you feel like you’re eating at a funeral, it’s so dead and kind of rundown. Food: The reason the place picks up and is still open. Over the years I’ve ordered many things and have found that two things are really good. The rest is ok and not really worth spending your money. The Pollo a la Brasa and the Chaufa(fried rice) with any meat is delicious. I typically get the chicken and steak fried rice and pour the yellow sauce over it… yuummm… DONOT I repeat DONOT get the aji de gallina, ceviche, lomo saltado– they’re not good at all. Service: quick as you’ll probably be the only one eating there. Overall: This is a great place to pick up food and take it home. I catered from here and the prices were good.
