I purchased a groupon for a manicure and pedicure on groupon. My manicure was not a manicure! It was a polish change. She didn’t soak my hands, put cream on them, or put a bass coat on my nails. My manicure looks terrible. All she kept saying was your nails are short. You paint nails, you should be able to paint any length. They look terrible. My pedicure was okay, but there is no massager on the pedicure chair. Would not recommend this place to get your nails done. Waste of my money.

Nice place. Good to go with an appointment. Was expecting it to be pricey but charged very reasonably for a haircut. Ask for Mary. She also gave inputs on what would be suitable. Accepts credit cards.

Since I live in the building, thought I’d give this place a try. Wasn’t such a great idea. I would not recommend this place for men. I wish I could remember the name of the person who cut my hair. I’ve always avoided supercuts for crappy cuts, but I would have rather gone there than here.

The owner here is a wonderful woman with an eye for detail. She gives a great cut and I’d recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for an exceptional stylist. Plus, the prices can’t be beat! Go seek this place out.

I stumbled across The Excelsior Hair Salon in the Hackensack Chronicle one Saturday morning. The Excelsior, a large apartment complex on Prospect Avenue, is jam packed with everything from a fitness center, swimming pool, grocery store, even their own restaurant, ironically called«The Restaurant» Anyway, I was surprised to find a hair salon to be located within an apartment complex. I almost deterred going, fearful of a triple digit hair bill, but I thought wrong. I called and booked a 4:30 appointment and walked(I live about ¼ mile down the block) to the complex. You have to go through«The Restaurant» to find the hair salon. I was greeted and quickly shampooed and conditioned, very gently. No super crazy head massages, but nonetheless, relaxing. I forgot the name of the lady who styled my hair, but once I get it, I’ll update this review. I told her to basically blow dry it straight and do something with my former and what I’d like to call«Tyra bangs» that I am trying to grow out. Thankfully, she was able to work with my overgrown and dried out bangs. The woman who worked on my dead, dried out and over processed hair transformed my once lifeless and thrown up in a ponytail mane into silky luxurious locks, all in one hour! She gave me what I now call my «Nicole Richie» bang, a cute side sweep that isn’t too overpowering. She didn’t pull too hard on my hair either, a problem I’ve had in many other salons. She was gentle and very kind and quick with her work. She did a quick flat iron to my end and ta-da! My hair was complete. The moment of truth had arrived– the bill. My lungs escaped one last breath after she told me it was only $ 35! I was ecstatic and decided to wax my eyebrows for another $ 10. The shampoo lady quickly and gently waxed my eyebrows. Nothing too special about an eyebrow wax other than she did a very good job. Overall, I highly recommend this salon. Ive spent 6 months trying to find a loyal salon and this is definitely it. Nice staff, not crowded at all for a Saturday afternoon, affordable and sexy hair!
