The lady behind the counter is the rudest person I have even met in my life. Do yourself a favor and don’t go to this place. The food isn’t good either. I asked her if I got a soda with my combo(the menu clearly says I did) but she grabbed the menu and asked me if I can read Engrish! If I didn’t already pay I would have cancelled and left. I will never go there again and I advise everyone else to stay away as well. To treat a customer like that for asking a question is absurd. I noticed when I ordered how short she was with me but I just let it go because shes probably in a bad mood, having to work on Sunday and all. But when I asked her a simple question she lashed out at me. The rudest person ever!!! Oh and by the way I was born and raised here and served in the military so my Engrish is pretty good, thanks for asking!

When we… I mean my wife doesn’t feel like cooking, and we want Chinese we’ll usually order here. We usually get the General Tsos chicken(I like it crunchy) and/or the shrimp Lomein is recommended. Service is quick and it’s CASHONLY. Decent food for the price and convenience. They’ll throw in some soda if you order a certain amount.

If you are expecting good costumer service this place is a no go, and also they don’t accept credit card you can only pay in cash. I ordered a general tso and it was ok, it doesn’t stands out from other Chinese places

Good place for quick and tasty cheap Chinese food. They have all your college-favorite lunch platter combos but what separates this place is their selection of noodle soups. You can order your own type of noodles with your soup selection. My favorite is roast Pork with shrimp dumplings & udon noodles. They are fast(10 mins or less) but make sure you bring cash.

Really disappointed. I read all these amazing reviews about how great the General Chicken was, so I thought why not. I called and asked if it was white meat the lady on the phone was so rude rushing me and said«yes yes I do» so I assumed it was all white meat great, I picked up she then tells me extra charges of 1 $ I was like ok? I guess because I wanted white meat, well should have said that before but that’s fine so 6.75 for my lunch. I got home this meat is like rubber. Not sure if I’m eating plastic or chicken. So then I figured well try the rice maybe, this rice is not fried rice I’m not sure what it even is. It might just be over cooked because it’s almost dissolving in my mouth. Just stay away, not sure what all these amazing reviews are for, but they wasted my time.

Got some szechuan pork on one day from work. Asked for it spicy and it was pretty spicy. Chicken flavors and the rest of the stuff were fine as well. I probably won’t be back there but it wasn’t bad. Not nearly as fat laden as other take out Chinese. Not bad. Might try the noddle soup but I doubt I’ll be back in the area.

Best Chinese food in the area. There are so many unclean and gross looking places around but this one is always clean and has nice seats and tables to sit in and eat. Great food and great location.

My husband love the chow mei fun. I love the chicken wings. They even give 2L soda when I ordered for delivery. Only thing is they don’t take credit cards

Local lunch spot for me(and the occasional grab on the way home). Sure, this is your typical hole in the wall, seen a million of this place, wall of china photo, semi crummy neon, misspelled signage squares of dishes that never look like that when you get them… BUT… I go here for the soups. Why?(good question). While on the«pricey» side you get a large portion. I’m not talking about wonton here(which is your typical average fare). I am talking udon ! or mei fun ! or egg noodles ! mixed with your choice of various dumplings, shrimp, seafood, chicken, roast pork or… well, you get it. The chicken based broth is served separately(nice) allowing you a little control over how much you want. The bowl is always loaded with some cabbage, some type of bitter green, chinese parsley, bits of green onion and bits of pork which really adds to the broth later on down when you are in slurp mode. Personally I prefer the nice thick udon noodles but the mei fun are kind of cool if you are a chinese angel hair kind of mood. One big plus about this place is that if you ask for spicy… they give spicy(is this really such a hard concept? really?). Sure, the décor is run down… they aren’t always the friendliest… I kind of dig that in some weird way. The standards(egg roll etc) are just that… pretty standard but I certainly do not go here for that stuff as it is a dime a dozen here in Jersey. Besides the soup the other staple I go with is the steamed shrimp dumplings. man do they pack the shrimp in(bubba would be proud… if he wasn’t dead). So in summary… like soup? get the specialty soup. The lunch combos are also a good deal for a good amount of food. And as everyone else said — bring cash(Chase rapes you next door for ATM fees).

Ordered the noodle soup special for lunch once before. To be exact, it was the roast pork and chicken dumpling noodle soup with Udon noodles. For its price(roughly $ 8.00), you don’t really get much. I had more Udon noodles than I wanted, only a few strips of pork and three dumplings. The broth is packaged separately which I’m thankful for as it was tasteless and oily. And the veggie,(cabbage perhaps?) was not good… at all. The soup was not what I expected. The pork was flavorful but a bit fatty. The dumplings were great as it was more chicken than the actual flour dumpling. I also tried the peppered steak. Though I enjoy peppers, I like them thinly cut. These were huge pieces of onions and green and red peppers. It did have a decent amount of meat. They’re lunch specials are worth it. They’re prices are reasonable with the amount of food you receive. For an extra $ 0.80 you can get a can of soda or soup. Never had a problem with their delivery. Always on time and always hot.

The only thing I will recommend to order from here is «Shrimp wonton with with egg noodle soup», you can get almost 1 full shrimp in every wonton, the shrimp is fresh and the skin of wonton is not thick at all. The egg noodle they gave you is always cooked to the perfection. Egg noodle is commonly used in Cantonese cuisines but I haven’t seen it at other Chinese(take out) restaurant in this area, and King Wok did a great job providing this item and make it really tasty. The broth is light and and they didn’t put any MSG in there, so you won’t feel thirsty after you have the soup. To make it more authentic, they put the fresh chinese parsley and mince chinese mustard to increase the flavor of the soup, if you are not a fan of this, you have to tell them while ordering so they won’t put it in your dish. I am a big fan of these chinese spices though. The rest of items on the menu that you can also find at other Chinese take out places are just OK, very mediocre, I often feel they are too oily. I do like their hot and sour soup though, they have lunch special that you can add $ 60 cents(I don’t remember the amount but its’ really cheap) to get a bottle of soda or a bowl of soup(choose from Wonton, egg drop soup or hot and sour soup), and I always choose hot and sour soup.

Usually I would never give a fast food chinese joint anything more than a 2 star but this one is actually worth the 3 stars… Let me start off by saying this take out place has an authentic soup menu… yes authentic as in egg noodles with broth w/homemade wontons and sliced roast pork like in Chinatown… I was shocked to have seen this and only made the discovery because of other Unilocalers. Thanks guys!!! They deliver quickly, prices are standard… but the soup is a bit higher but where else can I have hot steamy homemade soup delivered to me in 30 mins. They only accept cash and if you order more than $ 20 and $ 30 remember to ask for your free sodas. :)

This was my go to spot for about a year until I ordered the Sesame Wontons. The food for the most part was pretty good. but not too consistent. It was either amazing or tasted like the bottom of a shoe. Ordered Sesame Wontons assuming that it would be wontons with sesame sauce, instead I got wontons with a glob of peanut buttery sledge. It was horrendous. We had it delivered so called and asked if they could bring the correct order and the manager insisted that this was there sesame sauce. After explaining to her that there was someone in the house with peanut allergies and this couldn’t be eaten she became a bit hostile and kept insisting that their sesame sauce looked and tasted like Jiffy peanut butter. The driver did wind up coming back and taking the wontons back to show her. Needless to say I’ll never order from there again just because of how rude she was.

Absolutely typical Chinese food. Not bad but nothing I prefer getting from here than elsewhere(like China Pagoda in Paterson– their sesame chicken is so crispy and saucy and yum). Cafeteria-like seating, dense smell of Chinese food that clings to your clothes if you stay in here longer than picking up your takeout. Lady at the counter is usually pretty brisk and rude and makes a huge deal when you want more than 2 – 3 packs of a certain sauce, but oh well. I’m not here for the quality service, I’m here for some shrimp fried rice. Cash only! Chase right next door. Delivery for some reason has never taken less than 35 – 50 minutes, even though we are *literally* up the block. Glad I’m not the lazy type!

Place seems clean, mobbed during lunch and dinner rush. They have some pretty different soup options which is a nice change from the standard take out spot. The food was good, not great. A bit on the bland side from what we are used to from a traditional take out place. I will go back if in the mood for soup, will probably steer clear for just take out. My suggestion is to go and try the soup and take it from there.

There two cons to this place 1) they do not have crabsticks 2) they are cash only. other than that I do enjoy their food… i didn’t start to eat here until i worked nearby and wanted to pick up chinese food on my way home from the job… it grew on me because i usually stick with the same order… bbq pork and fried rice with extra bean sprouts and onions… they give you a large portion(deep container) and the food is made quick, hot, and fresh just like it should be… i wouldn’t go around recommending them seeing that those 2 cons are some big ones in my book LOL… but if you need a quick chinese food fix this will work for you

The fact that I am reviewing this take-out Chinese hole-in-the-wall says something about this place because this is my first(and probably only) review in this sub-category of «Chinese» food(sub is double entendre here). My issue with hole-in-the-wall take-aways is that the food is not authentic Chinese food. No self-respecting Asian foodie considers deep fried egg rolls w/duck sauce and/or General Tso’s chicken as real Chinese food. Hole-in-the-walls offer a limited menu(whatever could fit on both sides of a 14×17 paper) and they serve– I hate to say it– Americanized Chinese food, which I have yet to see anywhere else around the world. I’ve eaten Chinese food in Seoul, Tokyo, Kyoto, London, Montréal, Toronto, Mexico, and even Guam. Trust me, there was no General’s/Grandfather’s chicken on the menu. Having said that, King Wok is the best of the bunch. They even have soup noodles. And it is close to my work.

Minus one star for being cash only. But I really want to give it 5 stars anyway because the food is THAT great and the service is excellent… ah, screw it, 5 stars it is! I ordered takeout for the first time a couple weeks ago and they forgot an egg roll. We called to complain and the lady was very nice and apologetic and she said that next we’ll get a free egg roll. Well, the other night, I called and gave her my address and number before starting the order… I didn’t even have to remind her about the egg roll and she says«Oh, wait a minute, we owe you an egg roll!» How awesome is that!!! The eggroll was really good btw. It was not greasy at all. Pretty good steamed veggie dumplings… the general tso’s chicken is great, like everyone else said… everything my family ordered was great… shrimp mei fun, chicken chow mein, beef lo mein, shrimp and broccoli. OOOO and the noodle soup! I’ve never seen a Chinese food place with such yummy noodle soups! Even better than ramen! One thing that’s kinda weird… the fortunes in the fortune cookies: «The greatest medicine is the emptiness of everything.» WTF does that mean? Pretty much all the fortunes are like this one. I’m not sure we got a single one that made sense. But the cookies were tasty! If you live in the area, you HAVE to try this place! I threw out all my other Chinese takeout menus. No joke.
