Merry Maids

Merry Maids is TERRIBLE. I used them once and they did an ok job. I decided to use them monthly even though their pricing is OUTRAGEOUS. When I used them the 2^nd time I was working from home. I left the house to get out of their way. I gave them instructions as to what to do. I think they barely stayed an hour. When I got home practically nothing was done. It was so bad I made Amanda come over. I walked her around my house and ran my finger over ALL THE DUST they had neglected to clean. It wasn’t just one room it was the ENTIRE house. Not only had they ignored what i reviewed with them but they seem to ignore everything else also. I threatened to stop payment on the check. She had another crew come to clean. If I had gone to work i would have come home on a Friday night to find my house uncleaned.
I would NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone else. Search a little, and you can find someone to clean who is cheaper and more attentive to your home.

I should have listened to the previous review but I thought since it was only one review then maybe it was just an isolated incident. I was wrong. They came to my house and she (Amanda) looked at every nock and cranny and gave me an estimate. It was a bit more than what I used but I thought it is a big company and they should be professionals. Again, I was wrong. The two maids came in. One of them was new and heavy. She did not know what she is doing and the effort was a bit too much for her. You can tell for the grunting sounds she made all the time but that was not what turned me off. They did not do a good job and they kept talking to each other about how much Amanda screwed up giving an estimate. I was not sure if this conversation was about my house, but I was curious. Although I was not going to ask them to come back that conversation intrigued me. So I called pretending to ask for another appointment, the person who answered was very unfriendly to me, telling me Amanda is on vacation and she will make the appointment for you when she comes back since she gave me the estimate. Really??? Is that how they operate? The person who gave you the estimate is the only person who can schedule you for the next appointment? That is when I confirmed it to myself the conversation about Amanda screwed up was about my house estimate. In conclusion they were more money, less clean, and with an attitude. I went back to my old service who cancels on me once in a while. I will learn to live with that somehow. At least she does clean the house and good with her estimate.

is it possible to give negative stars? they are the most unprofessional, rude and inexperienced. they sent two girls to my home who honestly had no idea what they were doing. i think they picked them up on a corner and asked if they wanted a job. seriously. their first mistake was that they started mopping my floor BEFORE they vacuumed it! when i got on the phone to complain that it was taking two girls to clean my bathroom for over an hour the manager was so incredibly rude and said the bathroom must have been dirty. how could a brand new remodeled bathroom be dirty? especially when i had done a light vacuuming and wipe down of it a few days prior. so unbelievable. STAY AWAY!
