I’ve been looking for a good Indian restaurant in the NJ area and I found one! I was a bit hesitant walking in because it was freezing and there were no customers but wow! The food is all amazing. I had the chicken sagwala and it is the best. The garlic naan tops it off! Make a visit out

I bought a certificate for New Delhi Palace on so we visited on Saturday night for dinner. We made a reservation because it was a Saturday night, turns out that was unnecessary. There was no one else at the restaurant when we got there. While we were dining, a few other tables filled up with big parties, so that made us feel a little better about eating there. The food was pretty good, I took off a few stars because they were a little heavy on the salt/pepper in some dishes(I ordered a salad that I only finished half of because of how salty it was). I am a big fan of Indian food so I was excited about this place. We had the kebab sampler and the fried shrimp appetizers and those were both delicious. The chef actually came out to our table to clarify which version of the fried shrimp we preferred-the regular fried in oil or the«Indian» style. We chose Indian, obviously, and I’m glad we did. It was so flavorful! I had Paneer for my meal because I love paneer, and the sauce I had was sooo delicious. My boyfriend kept dipping his garlic naan into it. It was listed as a butter sauce but it was really more of a creamy tomato and it was awesome. My boyfriend got a goat dish because he’d never had goat before, and it was also full of very interesting Indian flavors that we both enjoyed a lot. Another reason I couldn’t give this more than 3 stars is that the service was lacking a bit. Our waitress was very obviously not an actual waitress, but more than likely just the daughter or niece of someone who owns the restaurant. She was very soft spoken and didn’t seem to know the menu at all. Each item that we ordered, we had to point to on the menu so that she could write it down. She didn’t get anything wrong, luckily, but it was a little bit frustrating trying to interact with her. Overall, the meal was delicious(minus my salty salad) and I had a decent experience here.

OK — looks can be deceiving. Kiss this frog and it turns into a charming prince. My papadoms, Indian onion and chilli salad with chat masala, followed by(made to order and not on the menu) Chicken Jalfrezie, with naan and cucumber raita were amazing. The plain rice was just OK… might try their Jeera or Pilau rice next time. Overall 4.5 out of 5 As Arnie would say — I’ll be back.

My wife and I went there for dinner last night. The décor is ok. As we entered, it took us some 5 mins to get seated even though the restaurant was slim on guests. We ordered mushroom chilly, shrimp chettinad, chicken korma, nan and mango lassi. Mushroom chilly was good but had a bit more of grease and vinegar than expected. Shrimp chettinad was not authentic chettinad(I am a southie), none the less it was tasty. Chicken korma was ok, but nan was good. Overall I place this restaurant at 3 because though the food is good, it is somewhat pricey for what it offers.

Paid $ 67 for the worst delivery service and food ever. Food arrived 2HOURS late!!! They did’t call to notify the food was running late! The food was cold! The biryani was SOOOOOOTERRIBLE! and the kabab platter was DRYRUBBER. they didn’t have the decency to include chutney or utensils or napkins(WHICHWEREREQUESTED)! Seriously the worst place to eat!!! P. S. I am Indian so I know good food… Unfortunately, this was far from it.

My wife and I have been eating here for 4YEARS(since Teaneck) and not only is this place consistent, the food keeps getting better and better. The chef is very skilled, friendly and has a great memory. He knows all our favorite dishes and the exact amount of spice we like in each one, it’s incredible. You can tell that each dish is mindfully prepared — a rare experience these days. There is a reason we keep coming back year after year. If you are in the mood for satisfying Indian food with rich, deep flavor come here and order your favorite dish, you will not be disappointed. Note: I’ve never tried the lunch buffet so my review of reflects my experience ordering from the menu.

I found them via a Unilocal search. I’m not from here and was looking for something to be delivered. I’m at the Holiday Inn Hasbrouck Heights on Rt 17South, It was easy to order, they called for clarification on the delivery address. Delivered promptly. I ordered the Chicken Curry and it was very good. I will order again.

Not gonna lie the food was quite good! My boyfriend and I both ordered the chicken Tikka Masala with basmati rice and Naan bread. The sauce was AMAZING. the resteraunt itself was cute and clean. When I was there I noticed they had a lunch buffet and was told it was $ 10.95 which is a pretty fair price for what they were offering. I would definitely try it out! My only complaint about this place is that they could have put a bit more chicken and rice in this dish, as it was a little lacking. But overall very good food!

Nothing great about this place. Whatever we ordered they made their own version of the entrees. We ordered chicken chettinad which was no where close to it. Bhindi entrée was full of oil. Naan basket was okay given the fact that we were given only 3 naans in that expensive basket. The service is terrible. The waitress we had sucked big time. Will never eat here again and won’t recommend it to anyone.

Went here last night with my wife again. The service was once again GREAT. Mohamed took our order & even suggested a couple choices. Aaron cooked our meals & even handed over a complimentary taste of what he was preparing. The food was cooked to perfection! The chicken, the goat, the rice, the MANGOLASSI all was great(yes we ordered enough to take home). And to top it off Aaron took it to another level. Forever customers we are but we’re starting to feel like family.

They are the best Indian restaurant in Hackensack. They are polite, clean, kind and great customer service. The owner is always a pleasure to order from and they are great individuals. Chicken tikka masala is amazing there. Get the Nan! It’s a must.

I went this place 2 days before Saturday night with my family… and we ordered paneertikka.masalala.and bindidopyaza. There was not more than five pieces of paneer in the curry… and the bindidopyaza. we can’t call it’s a bindi dish. it was onion and capsicum curry… The reason we went there because of the price… But the food was realy cheaper than the price… We spoiled our weekend over there… We will never be back there.

I come here at least once a week for lunch and there are a few major things I’d like to point out: — the tika masala is, in my personal opinion, the best in hackensack — naan is always fresh and hot — the buffet is an awesome value at $ 10 — vegetable paneer is delicious — I have never been disappointed with any food I’ve tried and I trust the chef wholeheartedly Now everything I just said is well and good, but if there is any reason to come here it is the consistency. It is always difficult to find a restaurant you love and knowing how important it is to be adventurous while staying true to your original flavors is an art. Kudos New Dehli Palace

I decided to come here on my birthday because of the amazing reviews on Unilocal!A 5 star Indian restaurant is hard to come by. I am SO glad I chose Delhi Palace! We came at an awkward time of 3 o’clock so my parents and I had the place to ourselves… Which I don’t mind at all! The waiter greeted us when we walked in and gave us menus. The prices are slightly cheaper than most Indian places around here… AWESOME! We ordered Padhi Chat for an appetizer(only $ 4!!!), shrimp curry, lamb korma, and chicken tikka masala… All ordered mild. We also got an order of garlic naan & popadum bread. My parents ordered two mango lassi drinks and I got a coke. The drinks came right away and the appetizer came out shortly after. The Padhi Chat was super tasty and refreshing. Totally recommend it! Our food came out around 15 – 20 minutes after that. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! All our meals were bursting with flavor and spice. Even though we ordered them mild. Sometimes ordering Indian food mild will make it taste bland. But Delhi Palace has got it spot on! All 3 of us cleaned our plates and were pleasantly full. The owner and waiter talked to us about Indian spices and how they cook some of their dishes… which was very interesting. Many spices in Indian food are VERY good for your health! Since it was my birthday the owner made a special desert for us for FREE! I didn’t think I would enjoy this desert because it had carrots and cashews in it, both of which I don’t necessarily like. WOW! Was I wrong! I LOVEDIT! The carrots were shredded, soft, and sweet. The waiter also played the happy birthday song for me on their speakers while we ate the birthday desert. This is my new spot for Indian food! I HIGHLYHIGHLYRECOMMENDTRYINGNEWDELHIPALACE! FRIENDLY/KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF&DELICIOUSFOOD!!!
