I love pupusas from Salvadorian places in the old neighborhood, so I was excited to find a place in this area to satisfy my cravings. This place is a tiny and looks like a family owned restaurant, with no parking in the immediate area, but worth the trip if you live in the area like us. We ordered the pupusas revueltas: cheese and pork. They were delicious, and made fresh! The ladies who run the place were extremely nice. Because the place was pretty popping with locals, my pupusas took a bit to get, despite the fact that my husband called ahead for them. My husband ordered the sopa de res and said it was okay, it was meatier than soups at other local restaurants, but not as flavorful. I would definitely return for pupusas when I’m craving some!

Just called to put in an order for delivery. I asked first if they delivered and the guy said that it depended on how much I was ordering. Mind you my gos says they are 6 minutes away! I was trying to order 10 pupusas and 2 horchatas and the guy said, that’s not enough. I’ll take my business elsewhere and DEFINITELYWILLNOTBERECOMMENDINGTHUSPLACETOAAAANNNNNYYYYYOOOONNNNNEEEEE!!!

The food was good but portions are very small. I ordered a Salvadorian breakfast that came with shambled eggs, a side of re-fried beans, sour cream, a slice of white cheese and a side of corn tortillas. I ordered 2 pupusas on the side along with my breakfast. The portions were very small, including the size of the pupusas, very small. The price for the breakfast is pretty inezpensive but I would prefer to pay a little extra for a little extra. The breakfast was good, and the pupusas were tasty but as I mentioned 30 times the portions are very small. I also ordered a hot chocolate and I was surprised that they gave me powdered instant hot chocolate with hot water, I was expecting Mexican chocolate or at least milk when preparing the hot chocolate. I most likely would not return but if you do remember to order like 2 breakfast’s or 5 pupusas in order to feel satisfied.

Very yummy, I had tacos dorados, pupusas mixtas, and Horchata. All which I recommend. Just make sure you have them repeat your order to you before they send t off into the kitchen. We had a few confusions. The family owned restaurant is a sweet little spot for a quick yummy lunch. They’re all very kind.

Excellent Salvadorian food. 1) I got the chicken and pork papusa with cheese, tamal de pollo, and taquitos de pollo. The papusa were out of this world. 2) The service is great. The owner was extremely nice and personable. 3) Food is extremely cheap, spent only 7 bucks for a ton of food. 4) Must try their horchata! OMG!

Amazing! Went with my family. my mother is salvadoran and I can tell you that this is AUTHENTIC and FANTASTIC! The ingredients were all so fresh. Food is all made from scratch so do not start complaining if food is taking longer than normal. Owner is super sweet as well. DEF try the zuchinni pupusas! The jalapeño ones were awesome too. LOVE this place!

I wanted to give this new restaurant a try because I’ve always been curious to try puposas after always seeing them on «Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.» This location is not very business friendly but I hope this place can change that. The menu is perfect for the area and it’s easy to find while walking around. It’s located around the corner from the nail salon at Main and Salem streets. Those in cars can park on the street or in the metered lot at Camden and State streets or Berry and State streets. Check out the photos of the menu. The papusas are only $ 1.50 each, and you can get cheese or meat. Everything is made fresh while you wait. My papusas and order of a corn tamale with red beans took about 10 minutes. The tamale is sweet and smooth. The papusas are amazing. They have charred edges that add a smokey grilled flavor. The tender filling is the perfect amount. I could eat these all day. The cheese was gooey and salty. Dig in your pocket and try the papusas — you can afford it! The rest of the menu looks rock solid too. I can’t wait to try the Salvadorian chicken sandwich. Friendly service inside and a lovely décor. A great addition to the area! Check out the $ 7 lunch special Monday — Friday.
