I have no problem with this Rite-Aid. They’re open when I need them to be, the store is immaculate, and it’s in a convenient location. Not only do they carry some of the oddball products that I have trouble finding elsewhere(i.e. — my Prell shampoo) but they have a huge variety of food items as well. Everything from protein shakes to Lean Cuisines to cereals to bread… you name it, they probably carry it. I find myself coming here instead of visiting the food store. I can’t comment on the pharmacy since my employer forces us all do to mail-order, but the drive-thru option would make it worth anyones while. Be sure to take a few minutes to sign up for the Wellness Card. You get some pretty nice discounts and rewards here, unlike CVS whose reward card is bootleg and 90% worthless. I spend so much money in Rite-Aid that I now save 20% off of everything I purchase. And if you purchase the Rite-Aid brand/product, then you receive additional savings on top of that. Hot damn!

It’s amazing what crap you’ll put yourself through for pure convenience. The store itself is fine and alone would get 3 stars. The pharmacy, however, is horrendous. When I moved to the area, I left behind a lovely mom ‘n pop drug store where, like Cheers, everybody knew my name. Despite the fact that I’ve been going to this pharmacy for almost 2 years they never keep any of my daily medications stocked. They have to order them every month. And if you want a brand name, good luck! They have given me someone else’s prescription(luckily i realized it before i left) and have an automated service that will stalk my cell phone until I pick up my prescription. Really annoying. But, hey… they have a drive thru for when its raining or I’m being lazy and its close to home :-/ –MJ

Absolutely TERRIBLE!!! Save yourself the time and headache — unless this Rite Aid is the only store that has the item you need or the only one open, opt for CVS or even Duane Reade and I guarantee you will be much happier and better off! If not for this store being the only one close to the hospital open 24 hrs, it would never remain open. Easily the WORST Rite Aid I have ever seen. Customer service is Non-Existent! The store is disorganized and dirty, and posted prices are often wrong(b/c they’re too lazy to take down/replace signs). There is usually a long line, due to how horribly it is run/managed. The employees are not only lazy and incompetent, but they make it blatantly obvious that they simply couldn’t care less about the customers! Try asking a question, like where to find an item, and you will see exactly what I mean.
In my last two trips, I left both times without getting anything. It was quicker to leave, drive to CVS, and make my purchase than it would have to complete my purchase at the store where I was already on line! The most frustrating part of the last time was there were 3 or more employees behind the counter and only one register open. In almst 10 mins, NOT1 person was helped, and all 3 employees were talking to each other and playing with their cell phones. Late at night is the absolute worst! Except for one older woman, there is not 1 employee good for anything other than stocking shelves(slowly). If you go after hours and she is not there, leave! Or will sit at the register by yourself for quite a while unless you find an employee and are adamant enough to get him to help you. I had one employee watch me go to the counter, yell to those stocking shelves to come up front, and walk out to smoke. He then sat outside smoking and watching me stand at the counter.

The diagonal layout of the store can throw off your equilibrium. It makes for some very long aisles and some very short ones. A better usage of space would be to set the aisles horizontally, but that’s just my suggestion. This store always seems disheveled and poorly organized. There is a remarkable difference between Rite Aid and CVS as far as aesthetics go. I prefer going to CVS because I never feel disoriented while I’m shopping there. The only saving grace of this Rite Aid is that it’s open 24-hours. Kiss it goodbye…
