Sahara Fine Foods

This place is great place for fresh food, hookah tobacco and gear, teas, real honey, spices, and other such middle eastern grocery items. The staff is very nice. they make really good felafels at a good price. Most of the time I get a nice box of loose gun powder green tea for $ 2.99. It will last me a while too. They also have have other loose teas like chamomile, mint, and hibiscus flower just to name a few. They also have tea in bags as well (for the less adventurous tea drinker). They also have a nice selection of honey. Even some New Jersey honey (which I prefer to buy to support our local beekeepers).
All in all this place is great for a bite to eat, hookah supplies, teas, and other middle eastern goods.

When you are craving gyros… go to Saharas! Awesome gyros. Great price for $ 5.00. This is the place to go!

Simply the best falafel and taboule you can buy. The owner is friendly and helpful, and the shop had a nice selection of Middle Eastern foods to browse — ie, honeys and jams, beans and hummus, spices, sodas and candies. But the hot food and deli items are the real jewel. Taboule is made to order — call 15 minutes ahead, as they literally start hand-​chopping parsley when you place your order. My BF and I love the falafel sandwiches — made with plenty of veggies and tahini — one sandwich ($ 3) is enough for two people! My mother tried a gyro meat sandwich, and was equally impressed. If you love authentic Middle Eastern food — or if you are just curious about it and want to experiment — you can’t do better than Sahara.

This is a review for the Hookah section of Sahara. Came in to buy a hookah and wasn’t too sure of what I was looking for. The owner took a special interest in my questions and showed me the right way.
My friends and I wanted a certain flavor of Shisha and he special ordered it for us and now always has it on hand (White Peach starbuzz!). Everytime I come in he is very helpful and attentive to us. They even have spare hookah parts on hand, all sorts of types of coals (flavored, instant, natural/​wooden, etc). Even though its about twenty minutes away, this is where I will always go for my hookah needs.
