Arrived at 9:00pm. Place was empty but service was still slow. Lots of options on menu but prices were high. Appetizers were excellent! Hot Peppers with sausage, garlic, oil & almonds. Also the Caprese Salad. Dinner was disappointing. Small portion of linguini & white clam sauce. Looked appetizer size. Served with one clam. Priced way too high. Chicken Palmeri — was also not right. I asked for it grilled — no sauce. They brought it out — clearly covered in flour. The sundried tomatoes, mushrooms & asparagus was INSIDE the sauce that they served on the side. Overall it was overpriced and not worth it.

Truly enjoyed my dining experiences here. Everything ordered was delicious, cooked well. We’ve come three times, and have had a wonderful dinner each time. This is a perfect place for people over a certain age, very little noise and excellent service.

Went last night and sat at the bar. They had a band playing(Panorama(great band)). We had a few drinks and some mediocre food. When we got the bill, we noticed an upcharge on our drinks. When we questioned it we were told that they automatically added it when they had entertainment. This is deceptive and possibly illegal. If you want me to pay for entertainment, charge me a cover fee. And, the more you drink, the more you pay! Make sure to look at your bill before you pay.

Decent restaurant with live music on the weekends; however, it’s a shame that the service is not up to par. There are different servers taking your order, so you don’t know who your actual waiter is. One thing that really disappointed me was overhearing a waiter screaming and yelling at two lovely ladies for not tipping. He used foul language, told the customers never to return and followed them to the parking lot. There is clearly a management issue here.

Stopped by to visit some friends that were performing at Solari’s, it was a weekday and not many people in the place but there was a birthday party… we sang Happy Birthday even though we did not know Harry, who was having the party. Assistant manager waited on us, very nice guy who went out of his way to make us feel at home. He made me a special salad… it was delish and NOBALSAMIC… thank goodness. Are we tired of Balsamic yet? How about that brioche bun or those little leaves they call mixed greens for your salad. Well here at Solari’s I had a REAL salad with lots of veggies and real vinaigrette… just wonderful… AND I requested iceberg lettuce and GOT it… shame on me… I love iceberg lettuce and pink. I know there’s no pink in iceberg lettuce but I thought I’d just throw that in. Food was excellent and service was the best. We felt appreciated and that they want us to come back and we will go back. Check their schedule there is live entertainment and DJ’s…worth a stop and see.

+Great consistent food. +Friendly and relatively quick service. +Dance floor which has a dj that plays dance friendly music. +People that go here that dance after 10 pm on Friday nights can put on a good show. –Parking stinks unless you go here at night. Even then it’s still a bit crazy –Crowd can be a bit on the rough side some nights. If you know how to Latin dance, some of the«regulars» will attempt to show you up and try to bully you off the dance floor. A bouncer can fix that quickly.

A three star rating for their food, but a two star for their service. First of all, they were impatient servicing a family of 12 which included three children. Second, when a drink was requested, it took the servers a while to communicated and serve the drink. Third, when told that their was not enough plates, they recounted and counted wrong again so we had to continue to request for additional plates. Fourth, when our water or drinks were empty, no one came to ask you for another drink, we had to constantly request for refills. Lastly, I personally felt that the floor manager did want to greet us nor ask us if everything was okay because we were not Caucasian and the majority of us were talking a different language. I would not go back here nor recommend anyone else to eat here ;-(

Good Italian food and great service. You will feel under-dressed if you aren’t wearing a suit and tie, because of all the attorneys eating here, but I am unaware of any dress code. For lunch, I love the cheese tortellini with Bolognese sauce and a glass of house Chianti. So cheesy and creamy… Once when I was here, they made a sour cream dill side sauce special for my GF. They really know how to treat their guests! A tad expensive, but a great place to enjoy a good Italian meal.

My Companion(WIFE) & I Had a wonderful delightful lunch at Solari’s of Hackensack. It was the loss of a family member, so yes it was a Re– pass. I must say, it was very good for the venue. They were wonderful as we pulled up in a large group and quite professional. They run a good restaurant and are on top of everything. The food and service were excellent for the luncheon. T&C … Tell them Roryblane sent you… not that they know who I am or anything like that… Enjoy…

My wife and I had a great dinner here. We started with lump crabmeat cocktail(with cocktail and dijon mustard sauce), wild boar sausage with a berry compote. For entrees we had Magred duck breast(with a great sauce that balanced Grand Marnier and peppercorns) and snapper with a crispy potato crust. We finished it off splitting a raspberry swirl cheesecake from Junior’s(no less). Up and down very very good. It is a nice looking place, which you could go to dressed up or casual as you prefer. Friendly and knowledgeable staff answered menu questions with confidence — and assisted in our good choices. They have a full bar too. The room we were in was a little small, but the tables were not distractingly close to one another. However, it is not very quiet once it fills in. This was our first time, but it is definitely on the list for a return visit.

I stumbled across this place after a meeting, and not sure what to expect. I was very pleased with my experience. Seems like a place everyone knows one another and the staff and customers were very welcoming. I sat at the bar and the bartender was super. I asked for the impossible and she made it just right. I went back on 2 other occasions when I was nearby. If I ever come back to the Hackensack area this will be the place for me. The pizza was excellent. Thin crust and flavorful!

I’m a yuppie from Jersey City and frequently dine in Manhattan, so I am probably — no, definitely — going to be harsher on Solari’s than the average person, especially those living in the immediate area. For Hackensack, this is a great restaurant and they have a ton of live music events to keep things entertaining. However, for me, I wasn’t impressed beyond the immediate atmosphere. Food wasn’t what I expect from North Jersey Italian restaurants. I had some rigatoni that wasn’t bad at all, but just worthy of 3 Unilocal stars. Usually that stuff is pretty easy for North Jersey Italian restaurants. My wife had a large meat dish that was eh, nothing special. The cheaper of the by-the-glass wines I had was probably spoiled, though I didn’t notice until the end. Spoiled by sitting in a bottle with the cork on for a few days. Dessert was awesome.

I really cannot say much more than has already been said. The live music was a guy that sounded like David Clayton Thomas, doing select Sinatra songs; interesting but good, turning a keyboard into a full orchestra. Good portions of food with such large appetizers you won’t have to order entrees. And the menu is not as expensive as you would think. This is one of the old school restaurants where the waiters(no waitresses here) don’t write your order down, but actually remember it and your dinner is served exactly the way it was ordered. In my case, I forgot my reading glasses. Marco brought an assortment of reading glasses, although not on a tray… it was still impressive.
