Beautiful farm. They let you walk around and take pictures and enjoy the property. They have a lot of events and send out a weekly email with the events listed on the email. In the fall the sunflowers are beautiful. They have a produce stand. They are very accommodating and I have bough bulk plum tomatoes here for making fresh sauce. They were great and picked early in the morning. If you are in the area be sure to check it out and support a local farmer.

I haven’t bought much from here but what I’ve bought has been good or better. To me it’s a little pricey, but I discovered a real deal in local honey, 5 LBs for $ 25 or $ 26, have to pick up some next week. Kids and their friends love the corn maze and pumpkin picking, but watch those pumpkin prices.

Impressive 500 acre facility. Produce selection was kind of narrow but the quality looked good and the prices weren’t terrible. Found this by accident and on this fall day they had a corn maze, hay rides, pony rides, and a corn cannon. Plus more stuff! Some huge pumpkins were also available. Special thanks to the person manning the corn cannon, who gave me three free shots! I hit nada, but I’d never even heard of a corn cannon until coming here.

This farm is not popular or famous. But they have amazing sunflower field and corn maze. They require you to wait for the truck to take you around and only charge $ 8! Cheaper than other farms but sunflowers are a lot nicer! It’s huge and impressive. They also have kids doing exercises games there. Very cute and family friendly.

I have lived in the area for a few years now but never been to donaldson ’ s until last week. I brought my kids there for strawberry picking and they had a blast. The store was nice with good variety of items. I will definitely be back.

This is a fantastic place. It is so much more than just a farm stand. They are active in the community and have many different activities on the weekends there. They offer a great selection of fresh foods, fruits, and pies. Most are localy grown all items are labled if they come from their farm or another local farm. I have found that most items are jersey grown.

This review is only for the outside activities on a fall weekend. We did not get a chance to go into the market. This farm has got all the activities for kids-corn maze($ 7), pumpkin picking($ 2/person for the hayride to get to the field and .59lb) corn cannon($ 3 for 5 shots), pony rides(4.50), rubber duck races($ 3 per duck) We used the Living social deal and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable about the deal(hate trying to use a coupon and they are clueless-not a problem here!) All the paid activities were well staffed and employees walked around with samples of donuts to people waiting in line. It was fun for the kids but the regular prices were a little high in my opinion for what you get but if you are reading this you will know what you are paying before you get there and the pleading begins. 2 comments about the Living social deal-hard to find regular pumpkins under 10 pounds-it would have been nice to be able to combine, we would have been happy with one pumpkin 16 or 17 pounds rather than the 4 little ones we wound up with. The other comment is the orange ticket you gave to try to see what people were spending-well no one asked for it at all the other activities we paid for so you don’t know we spent another $ 30 on the corn maze and cannon.

Staff is rude, just following the example of the owners. Overpriced and nothing special. Their«homemade» pies that they sell are actually made out of state and just heated up at their farm stand. There are so many great farms in this area who actually care about their customers and provide a great value for their own products, many organic. This isn’t one of those farms. Save your money and pass.

No visit to my hometown would be complete without a visit to Donaldson’s. Before there were farmers’ markets every week, there were small local farm stands where the family farmer would sell produce to his local community. Donaldson’s is such a farm stand for the 21st century. They’ve expanded to meet demand and compete with the mega Shop-Rite and Wal-Mart Super Center less than a mile away. They sell much of the same produce as you’d find in any produce section of a supermarket(so it’s not all local). However, what they’ve grown themselves is clearly marked and usually picked that day. Jersey corn and tomatoes are a major source of pride for anyone from the Garden State and Donaldson’s sells the most delicious!(I just grilled the bi-color last night and it was so sweet that no butter was necessary.) Their lettuce, potatoes, squash, and melons are also top notch. They even have trendy things like garlic scapes and radicchio. Basically anything they’ve grown themselves – though not organic – is sustainable and delicious and I hope they never sell to developers. Their seasonal offerings are also not to be missed. Take your kids and pick your own strawberries in the spring and get your pumpkins in the fall. And I defy anyone busy getting ready for the holidays to shop at Donaldson’s and not leave with one of their delicious homemade pies. The smell of fresh baked pies alone makes me wish they had a a table or two so I could sit and enjoy a slice with a cup of coffee. A visit to Donaldson’s is a source of local pride and like taking a trip back to my childhood, way before there was Whole Foods or Wegman’s. Growing up in the Garden State, my mother would often go out of her way to stop at one of the farm stands on her grocery trips. No matter where I’ve lived I know that I learned to appreciate«locavorism» before it was even in vogue from going to places like Donaldson’s.
