The food here is very good, this is a nice little spot for breakfast or lunch. It’s small inside and gets crowded so you may have to wait.

We held our rehearsal dinner here last week and can’t say enough positive things. The food was delicious, the staff was so pleasant, and the ambience is so cozy at night for a group dinner. Typically they are only open for breakfast and lunch, but will open for a private party in the evening for a minimum of 25 people. My mother in law handled most of the planning but she said Bruno was very accommodating and easy to work with. We had quite a few vegetarians attending so he adjusted the menu to work for everyone. Even the food presentation was amazing! My personal fav were cups that already had dip and veggies stuck in them so they were easy to eat while walking around and mingling. It’s BYOB but the servers still poured everyone’s refills as if it were a bar. I was very impressed with the professionalism and would definitely recommend hosting a private event with Stella’s. The prices were very reasonable, considering the quality of food and service that we received.

Awesome for breakfast. From what I hear, the guy that owns the place used to be a chef for a prestigious restaurant. I had the eggs Benedict. It was nothing short of delicious. Service was speedy and friendly. The bill was fair for the quality of food. I’d say if you can find a parking spot, go for it!

Always delicious. Everything is fresh and creative. My favorite: warm apricot/white chocolate bread pudding(they haven’t had this on the menu for quite some time) But I often dream of it.

I had this place bookmarked for a while, and finally made it in for brunch. I really wish I had found it sooner because it’s fantastic!!! Everything my family ordered was delicious. The only downside is that it can get a bit busy so make sure you go early and not when you’re starving. :) Worth the wait though!

It’s such a love hate relationship! Their food is amazing… the flavor combinations are wonderful. They have the second best scones I’ve ever had and great coffee. It’s my go to place whenever I have people visiting. Lately, I’ve been irritated by their seating policy of keeping tables that seat four open«just in case». So basically if you are a party of two, you’re not as valued? We waited once 15+ min for a table while several were open just to have a party of 4 walk in and sit after we had been waiting. I get it at a restaurant serving dinner… maybe. But breakfast… give me a break. We waited for the manager to show up an speak to us but he never came. Let’s try and remember this is Hackettstown, not a bustling city like NY!

They make you wait if you are a party of 2 and will not seat you at a table in case a party of four comes in, who then gets seated before you. Totally inappropriate seating policy… I will NEVER return! The hostess was also extremely rude, and attempted to interject into a conversation I was having with my wife, which was none of her business. I asked to speak to the manager, but the manager was no where to be found, and never came to speak to us. This simple, could be gem of a place, is being ruined by arrogance and ego that should not be part of a small town, friendly establishment. Fix the«seating policy» or I’m never coming back!

Brunch for the win. Got mac and cheese bites, which was a poor decision since you can get them anywhere and they don’t change that much. Get something more complex since they have the skills to execute. I also got the egg en cotte special which was beautifully played. Cooked very well. Coffee was great too loved the enamel cups. There was a wait but I sat at the counter. Will be back.

STELLA! Wow, girl. I must say, you are one sexy breakfast joint! I’ve had the pleasure of discovering this place, once again, via my trusty Unilocal App. You can find Stella G’s right on the busy main street in Hackettstown, NJ. Don’t blink, because you’ll miss it. There’s parking out front and a pay lot in the back. Make sure to not park in a permit space, unless you enjoy paying tickets. I absolutely love everything about this establishment. I’ve been here about 5 times and each time gets better and better. The menu is small, but every single thing that leaves that kitchen is pure magic on a plate. Get there early, especially on the weekend, because it gets packed. Seems that others have found out about this place and want to dine here, too. What a pain — I want it all the freshly baked scones to myself! Yes, I said it, SCONES. They always have a variety of quirky scone flavors like raspberry coconut, Irish buttermilk, cranberry tangerine, dark chocolate orange etc. Believe you me when I say — buy some! Dip these in your coffee. They are as big as my hand so cut them in half and share with a friend. Simply divine. Some other great dishes include, their breakfast polenta and risotto. Also, the skillet scrambles and breakfast burrito cannot be beat. The coffee is high quality and they keep it coming. To top things off, they play music from the 1920’s and classics by Frank Sinatra. So. Damn. Cute. If you want to see all the hustle and bustle going on in the kitchen, sit at the breakfast bar and watch them do their thing. Believe me when I say, Stella G’s is hands down the best place to eat some breakfast or lunch in this entire area. Get the scones. You’re welcome!

Finally got to come here! Everything was amazing! Customized my meal so I could do the steak and eggs but with eggs Benedict as the eggs which was nice but our server was barely around. By the time my husband got some syrup for his pancakes I was half done with my plate. The service was disappointing but I loved the food and atmosphere enough to try again!

Driving around and wanted to get some breakfast and found this little gem! When we walked into Stella’s it was booming. We decided to eat at the bar and we were happy we did! I ordered the Kassler Benedict which was one of the best eggs benedict that I have had(and I have had many). We also ordered an egg sandwich, which according to my mom was the best ham/egg/cheese sandwich she has ever had! We are from Jersey so we know good egg sandwiches. The potato pancakes were the perfect size and perfectly seasoned. The owner, Bruno, was so friendly and makes an effort to speak to everyone. You can see he is deeply invested into making his customers happy and satisfied! We are not from the area but will make an effort to come back to Stella G’s!

We’ve been here twice now — both while wedding dress shopping in the Hackettstown area — and we love it! We so wish it were closer to us. The scones and pastries are incredible, the pancakes and French toast are buttery and fluffy, and the egg dishes are flavorful. Oh and the coffee is great. Great family brunch location… This place has an «old-towny» feel and is right on the cute main street in Hackettstown. We almost hope we could continue wedding dress shopping so we’d have an excuse to come back!

I love coming here with my grandparents. They offer plenty of clearly labeled gluten-free eats. Employees are all so friendly, and the restaurant has that welcoming country feel. Grab a freshly baked scone, you will not be disappointed. I love their stews on a cold autumn night. And let’s not forget the most important meal of the day– brunch. This is an awesome breakfast and brunch spot for both sweet and savory. The skillets are especially satisfying. Stella’s can fill up quickly, so get there early and enjoy!

I had heard many good things about this place. So this time I visited Hackettstown I wanted to give it a try. My hopes and expectations were more than met! It was so good that I had to come back a few days later! :) My first visit I went for lunch. The nicely drawn sign in front of the restaurant already caught my eye: «It’s asparagus month». Perfect for an asparagus lover like me. I had the Asparagus Lasagne, one of the specials. The presentation of the dish was very creative. But moreover it was exceptionally fresh and flavorful. My second visit I had quite a hard time deciding whether I wanted a sweet or savory breakfast. I chose the stuffed French Toast. Definitely a good pick. Again the presentation and taste were superb. The restaurant was well patronized both times. My first visit I sat outside, the second time inside. I was pleasantly surprised to notice no difference in the service. Always quick and friendly. To sum up: flavorful, fresh, seasonal and unique dishes. If I am ever in the Hackettstown area again, I will come back for sure!

This is my favorite place to eat in Hackettstown. With the variety of well crafted food, anybody that eats there will leave happy and satisfied. The owner Bruno is a great guy who is very talented in creating amazing dishes. Being a typical 22 year old who has an endless hunger my only complaint is the food at times is small in my opinion. Perfect proportions for my mother though which is what truly matters. Also the food is for the most part healthy food. It’s simply a place when you look at the menu you want to keep coming back to try something new. Bruno would donate/sponsor my charity events I ran at college without hesitation. Not only does he own the best place to eat in Hackettstown he is an awesome guy. So anyone looking for breakfast, brunch, or lunch Stella G’s should be your choice.

Went here for the first time today with a friend who loves their lunch. Breakfast was delicious and fresh! I had the Spring Skillet Omelette. It was a special menu item. It had gruyère cheese, asparagus, peas, potatoes & bacon and was served in a cast iron skillet. It was a great blend and the cheese was not overpowering the dish. My friend had the Banana Raisin Oatmeal Pancakes and really enjoyed them. The menu clearly tells you what items are gluten-free, which contains nuts and what is vegetarian. Great when eating with a group with different preferences or dietary restrictions! Looking forward to going back!
