Well, I am afraid of telling all of you what a great experience I had for the fact it was so great that it will get to busy! I went to David Wilson’s Barbershop and loved every minute! I had Tammy a pretty blonde women with a great personality cut my hair! She did exactly what I requested in the style and cut I like to have my hair. It was followed by a nice neck shave hot towel and a shoulder massage that made me melt. She was pleasant and easy to talk to. Both women that were working were pleasant and made me feel very welcome. Tammy squeezed me in her busy schedule even though I popped in without an appointment(make an appointment) I look forward to coming back and next time I come in will by myself a spor tcoat and some new shirts and pants. The clothes are of high quality and include and tailoring! Thank you all at David Wilson you all made me feel at home!

I had just moved into the neighborhood and I needed a new barber. On recommendation, I was going to Frank’s in Haddonfield, but between the kids and the lines, it wasn’t ideal. Now being mere steps from Davis Wilson’s I had to try it. My stylist(?) Beatrice was fantastic — friendly, affable, polite, and even offered services without condesending tone(even though my eyebrows need a little work). And all of it was done in about ½ hour. Never more than a few minutes behind and very fast. There’s also a relaxing 5 minute massage at the end. All of this for $ 20 but don’t forget the tip. Appointments aren’t hard to come by if you put a couple weeks into it(but 3 or 4 days is fine as well). And all of this was 2 years ago and since I’ve moved again, I keep going back. They also apparently do a great job with kids. Not having one myself, I can’t guarantee, but based on what I’ve seen, they have a good handle on them and you can often get you and the young man in and out in under an hour — without losing your mind.

I went to David’s to get measured for a suit. The owner personally measured me, was very friendly and seemed to know his craft backwords and forwards. Classy, old world look to everything in the shop(I wish I remembered to take a pictures of all the ties layed out on the billiards table). You can get a custom suit from about $ 800 up here, which is a bit more than what you can find online. I will absolutely be back.

It’s very tough to find a consistently good haircut without laying a fortune. You get that at David Wilson’s men’s salon. $ 20 gets you a great haircut, hot towel and a little neck rub. All of the ladies there do a great job.

Stopped in last night for the first time for a trim. Tammy was my stylist. A good, quick cut, neck shave, and shoulder massage… all for $ 20. Can’t be beat. Friendly and fast personal service with a smile and small talk. I’ll definitely be back.

I switched from a great barber shop in Marlton(Main Street Barber Shop) to David Wilson’s because it was closer to my house. It has become so hard to get down 70 and through the construction it isn’t worth driving there anymore unless I really have to. The barber shop at David Wilson is nice. They do a pretty good job, less attention to detail than Main Street Barber, but the haircut is quite good. The girls talk a little too much for my liking, but I just like the conversation to not distract from the job at hand. Just me.

A great old fashioned mens shop. I suggest making an appointment if your looking to get a cut and shave. It can be tough to just walk in. They do a wonderful full service haircut and warm shave!

This place is a gem for several reasons. First, it’s a fantastic mens clothing store; they carry everything from casual to dress, including all accessories at reasonable prices. Perhaps the greatest asset of this place is the old school mens salon which offers the BEST mens haircut around, complete with a straight-blade shave, for only $ 20 or so!

So it’s hard for a man to find a good barber these days. Either you go to a fancy Salon, which tends to cater to women or the trendy 20something set, or you go to an old school barber, most of which are now 70+ years old and have one tool of the trade, a razor with a #2 guard. Not so David Wilson! In a brisk thirty minutes one of his talented(and very pretty) skilled staff members will give you a perfect cut, clean up and stray hairs with a straight razor shave, give you a neck massage, and have you on your way. Trusty me we won’t skip over any of this process, which is probably one of the best things you can treat yourself to that’s legal in Jersey, but a bit of history on the shop. The shop used to be exclusively men’s clothing. Nothing cheapy here. Allen Edmund shoes, high end shirts and pants, the newest styles, everything a gent needs down to the right socks. On site tailoring is available, as is a shoe shine. The shoe shine also allows for drop off, which is nice if you’re in hurry. David Wilson realized there was no place a gent could go to and get a great shave and haircut anymore, so he expanded and added the Salon. Probably the best offering here is a real shave. You heard me mention it earlier in regard to the haircut. This is the whole works. Hot towel, heated lather, straight razor. What a treat in today’s fast paced, metro-sexual world to kick back and have an old school straight razor shave. Baby smooth skin guaranteed. Jennifer, the woman who takes care of me, shaves so close I swear she takes off the wrinkles too. Not that I have any wrinkles, but if I did… Anyway, back to the haircut. Large comfy chairs and spacious surrounds are illuminated by the huge front windows, allowing for meticulous inspection of your quality cut in progress. Once you give it the thumbs up, a hot towel is applied to your neck and any stray hairs are removed with a hot lather/straight razor combo. To finish up your haircut, a neck massage is administered to get rid of any remaining stress that hasn’t been hot toweled away. Don’t think this is just your granddad stopping in here either. Today’s men yearn for old school quality and service like this, so you may be sitting next to your paperboy on one side and a waiter from Nunzio’s on the other. Add the fact that the whole cut is $ 20! Best deal ever.
