My mom and I recently attended one of the Paint Your Pet classes at Painting with a Twist. We LOVED it. In the past we’ve painted with Paint Nite. Of course it was fun and basically the same concept, but the biggest difference is that PWAT has their own studio. This means you won’t be crammed into a random bar and it’s BYOB. Another thing I loved, PWAT had assigned seating so you are guaranteed to sit with your party. The Paint Your Pet class was awesome. My mom and I were a bit nervous at first, but everything turned out great! There were 3 to 4 teachers in the class who walked around and gave one on one assistance. This class is the most expensive at $ 55 a person. If you interested in a specific painting, you can host a private party where you and all your friends can paint it. You’ll need 15 painters on a weekday and 20 on a weekend to have a party. In addition to BYOB, PWAT encourages painters to bring snacks with them. But if you forget, there is an awesome bakery only a few store fronts away.

Came here for a girls night months ago and had a blast! The worst painter of painters becomes an automatic pro here because of the talent that can be found in the instructors. It was such a fun night and we’ll definitely be back!

Painting with a Twist is a MUST-TRY! The experience is amazing — music, wine, and something fun to paint and bring home with you! And the best part… you do NOT need to be an artist to make something amazing. The artist we had was very easy to follow. She explained each step as she was painting and even helped us with simple guidelines about where to paint certain things. I went with a group of close girl friends, and it was an awesome night. If you have a free night or want to plan a girls’ night, it only costs about $ 35 a person and then you get to bring your own wine!

I’d been wanting to do a group painting class for a while, and so I was really excited to see Painting with a Twist was coming to Haddonfield. I’ve been there twice since their opening, which I believe was in late November. I wasn’t crazy about my first experience. I had fun, but the class started late, and then towards the end I felt as the instructor was rushing us to finish up, with minimal instruction on the last few steps, and not allowing the participants(at least me) the time necessary to evaluate our works and decide what we wanted to do. My second experience was better. The class started on time. My only criticism of that class was when the instructor had us use a certain technique on our paintings without any indication of how the finished product would look. The sample painting did not appear to have this technique, and the instructor even said it was her first time teaching that technique. Ultimately, I was not happy with what I did, but was able to correct it. I may or may not return. It was fun to do a couple of times, but not something I would do too often.

Great experience overall — enthusiastic instructors who walked around and helped and/or made suggestions. Excellent selection of classes, too and the price is reasonable given I walked out with a piece of art that makes me look like a descendent of Matisse. Only constructive criticism — I wish the lead instructor had explained why we were doing something or what a certain technique would create.

Me and my girlfriend came here for a date night and had such an amazing time. They make it so easy and fun to paint something really great looking. The staff was super enthusiastic and you could tell they loved what they did which made it even better. We brought wine and cheese and others brought sandwiches and dip so feel free to bring whatever you want. We had so much fun we talked about opening our own franchise the whole way home. We’ll definitely be going back.
