The Contact Exchange

Although the clothing and jewelry selection in Contact Exchange are certainly not poor, the consignment experience may not be a pleasant one. In other words, if you are looking to sell (not buy) clothes or other accessories, you should probably look elsewhere or at least «shop around» locally.
When I initially attempted to sell with this shop, I called early one morning to find out their consignment hours and was pleasantly told to bring in my items that afternoon. I did so, and when I arrived, an older woman behind the counter literally started «shooing» me out, claiming that their «fall consignment hadn’t started yet, and my items were not to be brought into the store.» Granted, I can understand her frustration, but her tone was extremely smug and unwelcoming. Evidently, she and her coworker (the woman I spoke with earlier) were not given the same information.
So, I waited another month until the fall consignment started, and when I called again to make sure that I would be welcome, I was met with more pretentious commentary (from what I believe to be the same woman). I was told not to bring any cocktail dresses or clothes that aren’t «higher end» into the store in a rather rude tone. (Keep in mind, when I called, I did not ask for their clothing specifications, because I already knew them; I just wanted to make sure that I could offer my clothes for consignment that day.) At this point, I decided to call a couple other places in the area, and I have since had a very pleasant experience with two other retailers.
Hopefully this was just an unfortunate occurrence that doesn’t happen often and your experience at the Contact Exchange will be better than mine. But I would advise that, if you’re weary of unpleasant sales people or unwarranted condescension, you might want to sell elsewhere!

Best consignment shop to either do your shopping or to consign with. I have consigned with this shop for over 10 years. They are efficient, price things very well, almost never make mistakes and if they do on a rare occasion they make good on it. Great shop with lovely service! No evening dresses or house wear items are accepted because of limited space.

Best Jewerly selection hands down. I have found so many amazing pieces of jewerly. INcluding real pearls for a quarter of the original cost. Great handbag selection. If you have size 9 feet or larger the selection for shoes and boots are wonderful.
