Me and my husband spotted this place as we got off the interstate for fuel, so we thought we would try it out. We were very pleased with not only the service but the quality of food and price. Has a large dining area as well as a full bar. Was very clean n everyone was friendly. I would recommend this place for anyone who likes Mexican food.

We go here all the time, especially for carry out. I always order the same thing, chicken chimichangas & they are always good. My husband and parents like it too but we all say the same thing, for Hagerstown its good. I’ve been to another location on Wesel blvd and it was awful. This location is clean & service is fast and good.

Food was good, but not exceptional. The service was good and fast. It was a good place to stop for lunch. We did like the chorizo cheese dip but the salsa was a little spicy for me.

My father reviewed restaurants for Gourmet Magazine, so I’ve dined everywhere in our region. El Ranchero is one of the FEW experiences I would give a 100% perfect rating. It was incredible! Try the Fajitas Tropicales for a life-​changing experience. Even the chips and salsa rocked. Great open dining atmosphere, terrific service, and a sincere effort to make sure we were happy made our visit a real pleasure! Clean as a whistle, too!

Decent Mexican restaurant for Hagerstown. Delicious frozen margaritas! Tamales & quesadillas were spot on & very yum! Chips & salsa were plentiful & super very yum!!!

Good quality food for the price been coming here for a long time. Excellent service and food prices are fair to everyone. Must try the soup it will fill you up. Soup Azteca.

Called in for carry out — said it would be 15 minutes (ordered 6 tacos and a quesadilla)
Unfortunately for me, there was NO parking. And I live about a quarter mile away. So, parked in the grocery store parking lot and walked over. By the time I arrived, it had been 15 minutes. Waited another 15 once I was there. It was not worth the wait.
Soggy tacos. The meat, beef and shredded chicken respectively, was good. Quesadilla was wonderful!
Next time, I’ll just go there first and order out, and wait at the bar.
Not bad. Not great. Meh.

The food here is not worth eating. Had the carnitas plate. Meat was too dry. Their mushroom quesadilla was full of refried beans with hardly any cheese in it. For almost 10 dollars for each dish, not worth it for even a lesser price.

Girlfriend got the deluxe quesadilla didn’t like it because it had peppers and onions on it and didn’t know because it wasn’t in the menu. The server took the plate and said next time ask. Wouldn’t eat there again with someone else’s money. Portions were so small I don’t know how they could call it a Mexican place.

Start drinking upon arrival because otherwise you will hate the food. It is awful I wouldn’t eat that food for free.

No previous reviews but we took a chance anyway and it was a good call. Service was prompt. Food was solidly good and the margaritas were two thumbs up. All in all a solid choice for Mexican food.

Just your normal Mexican food with great service. The only knock on this place for me is the portion sizes. They are smaller than I had except and left my just shy of feeling full.
